Anyone know why Farmer didn't take the pen?

J B Farmer did take the pen and a George did scored the other the Hud (ref 11 v11 ) H H is like myself getting old,Curtis his usual 1 that season but against Southampton. One thing i did noticed Dave Clement made his debut after Christmas and scored about 10 goals before the end never remember him being that prolific.

@Nick, was the Gillingham away game on a Tuesday night? I remember going down there after work one Tuesday and it was a League Cup game. 1996. My mate had asked another two of his mates to join us, so there was four of us, beefy blokes, in a bloody Fiat Cinquecento! Two doors and I was sat in the back. All the way to Gillingham. With my knees into my chest. Worst journey ever. My mate got lost somewhere around the M25, but we made it in time. Only drew 2 - 2 and the beat us 1 - 0 in the replay at HR. :emoji_rage:
But I still love the City!
I’m sure the Gillingham manager was Tony Pulis.

I arrived from Canada the day of that game and arrived at H.R. at half time. Had to bribe a gateman to let me jump the turnstile. Huckerby scored (With his head) just before H.T. and the third was a penalty
Amazingly managed to find the highlights for it. Your memory sounds much more fun! I still just remember being cold, having a blanket and Dad giving me soup out of a flask at half time

I remember that game, it was our 4th straight win after we'd barely won all season. It attracted the usual bumper Christmas gate from memory.

Not a childhood memory but March 1973 Northern Ireland played Portugal at H R in an international remember Pat Jennings pulling off the best save I have ever seen and i've seen some great saves he picked the ball out of the top corner a close range header from Eusebio in a 1-1 draw who went on to score the equiliser late on from the spot. The N I goal was scored by Martin O'Neill. The first full international I had ever seen.
