Now i don't want to be 'that guy' but seems a few people are getting ahead of themselves.

I'm loving this as much as all of you, and i am 90% certain we will win the league. But its not done yet. 5 more wins and a draw from the last 10 will do it.

But we haven't done it yet. We are all on cloud 9 and brimming with confidence, but just feel we should stop all this open top bus and staying up in the championship talk for now.

Prepared for the abuse, as i say i think we will win the league but lets calm it a bit until that big P is next to our name on the table

Fully agree. Uncharted territory for most of us to be in this position at this stage. Teams still breathing down our necks. Rotherham looked pretty strong to me. Rochdale looked dog shit, yet look what happened yesterday. I’ve seen bigger leads thrown away.

Loving the positivity but so much can happen in 10 games. The team just need to continue taking it one game at a time and ensure they don’t get ahead of themselves. I trust Robins to keep a lid on things though.

Shrewsbury will be seriously tough. They’re no walkover and have beaten a fair few ‘top 6’ sides already this season so let’s just focus on that for now.

The only reason I’d be worried is if it was the players putting up these threads! However, it’s not! Fans are daring to dream, I don’t mind that. The players will be ready.

Agreed. Everything I've read suggests the players aren't getting ahead of themselves.
Having MacFazdean in the camp who's been here before with Burton is a big bonus.

Hyam
Kelly
Biamou
Jones

did think about that. Is going up in the play offs similar to challenging for a league, I suppose it is but wasn't sure to be honest.

A very big factor in our recent run is that we have had no injuries
Providing we are fortunate enough to continue to have all our most important players available then I will be fairly confident. Ipswich are a good example of a team that were flying high but have gone into a nose dive after losing some of their best players

It’s a cliche but also true...Focus on the next game. I’m sure robins is not talking about promotion with the players but rather focusing on the strengths/weaknesses of Shrewsbury.
I’m dreaming but certainly not celebrating ...not just yet.

You are correct but it's very difficult to control my emotions right now

I stopped my mate putting that on the jukebox in the pub in Southend after the game game because I thought it was tempting fate.
For someone who isn't religious and dismisses horoscopes, mediums and all that sort of thing it's amazing how superstitious I am regarding football.

Totally agree.

I think I'm more worried about the Shrewsbury game than I was about Pompey, Rotherham, Sunderland and Ipswich. It's these type of games we always seem to fuck up.

Think that's anything to do with the new medical team?

For the first time though I do think we have strength in depth. Depending on the position we would have Jones (nearly ready now, I would imagine), Eccles, Kasta, Shipley, Westbrooke, Wilson (decent back-up), Pask, etc all who, in theory, would have a valid claim to be in the team. As this eleven keeps winning though, they're out.

Our lack of injuries in defence has been remarkable. Has hyam or rose been injured at all this season ?

I get the sentiment of not wanting to tempt fate, but realistically a few optimistic fans won’t be the reason if we fail to go up now. From pretty much every objective measure we are favourites for the title. Points gained, games played, current form, injuries etc etc. All of it currently points to us being promoted, probably as champions. Might not happen, might do - but either way it will be nowt to do with a few OTT threads on here.

Fingers crossed ;)

5 more wins I reckon and we will be up
Out of the remaining games I can't see us not getting 5 wins.
We can take Shrewsbury, Lincoln, Blackpool, Burton and AFC with confidence and grab a few draws out the rest no problem
If injuries occur along the way we have a strong bench of players to step up and slot in.
It's only a matter of time in my books.

And the funny thing is that a 50% + win rate is something we've never really experienced for a prolonged period, yet in the context of current form is actually a decline.
