This weekend we are up against Crewe at 'home' but SP must have quite the little headache on his hands as team selection goes? The article in the CT this morning (link below) says that at Centre Back SP will have a choice to make, but Leon Clarke has been rumoured to feature this weekend, along with Christie been poor in the last 3 games at RB and all 3 loan debutants at MK had really good games.

With all this in mind, If you were SP what would you do?

I'd go with

Murphy
Christie
Seaborne
Webster
Adams
Maguire
Fleck
Thomas
Baker
Wilson
Leon Clarke

Burge
Jordan Clarke
Phillips
Garner
Haynes
Moussa
Dagnall

As above but swop Clarke and Dagnall, only because I don't believe in rushing players back. If he is 100 percent fit I agree.

That did cross my mind, but Leon and Callum together are just seemless and with the goals they have scored when playing up top with each other this season we could do with that more than ever.

Almost looks good.
Would like to get another centre half in asap just to stop teams exploiting our weaknesses by just booting ball into box.

Do we need another one? We have 3 1/2.

Seems to still be a tactic for other teams as a leveller to boot into box.
Clarke is mobile but space awareness and heading are his downfall.
Loan players can be pulled at any time and there is a question on quality that needs to be assessed.

I do believe Webster and Seaborne could be a decent pairing, unfortunately Dan's loan only last until the beginning of January.

Big question for me is Christie. Has his head gone? or is he not 100%? Probably a yes to both but from what I read on CET a contract offer has been on the table for a bit now and he hasnt signed..Not blaming the lad at all but if hes hearts not in it......

I can't blame him if that is the case.

I have worked for the same company for nearly 20 years. They look after their workforce. Good pay for the job we do, lots of benefits, family orientated, lots of time off, profitable.....I could carry on. I have only applied for one job since I started working for them.....and got it. It was an internal move to a part of the country I love. Last week my youngest was taken ill. When I told my boss he sent me home. I spent a couple of days in hospital with him. When I phoned up work from the hospital they told me to take as long off as I needed.

Before I joined them I had countless jobs. I rarely stayed anywhere more than 3 months. The more valued you feel and the better you are looked after the more you want to stay somewhere. It would take a massive pay rise for me to consider changing jobs. Before I joined them I was a job tart and went anywhere that paid the best.

If he is off I wish him the best for the future and hope we get a good amount for him.......if some of it is invested in the squad.

So I have a cushy number most of the time :) Did about an hours work in a 12 hour shift last night. But can sometimes work nearly all shift and only get 3 breaks.

he practically made a goal on himself vs hartlepool, not sure how blair missed

think too many people are using contract as an excuse to say we don't need him, if we wanna move forward he is exactly the sort of person we wanna keep, if he needs more time give it him and lets not get on his back in the mean time.

I'd only pair Webster and Seaborne if we're up against a side like Bradford who will look to pump the ball long to a big man. Against a side like MK Dons, who look to pass the ball and move in behind the defence, Clarke's pace and positional awareness was very important.

From what I know of them, Crewe play some tidy stuff, so I'd probably go:

Murphy

Christie
Clarke
Seaborne
Adams

Maguire
Thomas
Fleck
Moussa

Wilson
Clarke (if fit)

Subs:

Burge
Baker
Dagnall (to start ahead of Clarke if necessary)
Webster
Haynes
Phillips
Garner

It's nice to have some more options in the squad. We can now afford to drop one of Baker/Moussa occasionally, or one of the centre backs.
