before everyone gets into a wasps wankathon remember they are still a hedge fund that ripped their club from it community and took advantage of the actions of an even more cuntish hedge fund to plant themselves into a stadium meant for the 130 year old local football team effectively leaving them homeless.

I still wish they'd both fuck off.

Well done don, law of averages say you will get one right eventually. Like CD says, I don't see why section 128 doesn't apply. Have stopped filling all the court bollocks I'm only interested in the football now.

IIRC this thread was a discussion around whether wasps are using the legal action as a convenient excuse to play hard ball on a new deal.. I'm still of the opinion that wasps will agree another short term deal for us to stay regardless of legal action. IIRC you of thr opinion that no deal will be fourth coming and if legal action is still going this time next season we will be homeless. Only if that happens will you have proven to be right

Actually it's more that you and some others have been proven wrong. Wasps actually just kept their mouths shut and let everyone get on with the speculation.

Wasps may be some sort of evil hedge fund, but in terms of evil hedge funds, they are a damn sight better at it than our tossers.

They also have a successful team to show for it. It we were up there in our premier league, no one would be too bothered about the off field activities and the morals of SISU.

Let's see if they get an appeal through. If they do, then a temporary deal at the Butts is a real possibility as I can see Wasps taking their anger out on SISU, and CCFC being the collateral damage .... again.

Yea but who gives a shit if the legal actions affects/impacts wasps or not, if you are concerned then you are on the wrong forum.

Our only concern should be how it of affecting the football club, and the answer to that is very badly.

Sadly I think you are right, if the team were on an upward trajectory I am sure few would be so bothered about the noises of the pitch.
The fact is the owners are proving as inept at the legal shit as the team has been on the pitch, which is no coincidence.
Wasps hierarchy must feel that Sisu are the gift that just keeps on giving and the less they do or say the stronger their position comes.
We have taken the role of David to Goliath only this David doesn't seem to land a punch.

Not sure why permanently moving a team 85 miles to a place where there is zero connection with the area makes their hedge fund a "damn sight better" than our shit hedge fund. Odd.

Everyone's only concern is CCFC.
Which is why suing the people you need the help off the most is as dumb as can be. Yet SISU did it with the Council and now Wasps.
It all ends up screwing over CCFC.
I genuinely couldn't give a rats ass about Wasps.
It just never ceases to amaze me that people don't have an issue with SISU going into to battle with the local paper. MP's, the Fans, Fan groups, Wasps, the Council, the Higgs Charity.
Pretty much anyone who if you piss off it negatively impacts on CCFC. They manage to successfully piss off!! Which must suit the agenda of SISU as company somehow but all it does to CCFC is hurt us.
So it's not caring about other people it's caring about the ripple effect on CCFC as collateral damage when SISU upset those people.

My point has always been that it makes sense for Wasps for to be applying a bit of pressure for legal action to get dropped. That they are using the leverage they had to try and get the legal action dropped. Without saying the words "drop the legal action". That action was affecting them and they wanted it dropped. They have something we want 'a long term rental at the Ricoh'. So they were using that as leverage.
Whether they agree a short term deal or not.
They were hoping that SISU would drop the legal action and SISU didn't.
I kept getting told that that is bollox as the legal action doesn't affect them.
It did and they were.
So I am happy to already be right in this one cheers.

I know what you're talking about. Moving a team 85 miles whether it was a successful move or not is still shit and doesn't deserve any faux admiration.

Their hedge fund is no better or more moralistic than SISU.

Can you explain then if this is the case why talks started at all and continued until June when this was known in February?

Talks started before February.

It came out on 02nd June that talks had stopped. Not that that was the date they stopped.

The legal noise was cited as the reason why they stopped.
Anderson replied saying last time he checked Wasps were not the ones getting sued. So SISU hadn't even bothered telling the poor bloke whilst he was negotiating!!

I can only imagine Wasps received the letter.
Gave their lawyers time to look over it and it's implications.
Then they would be pretty crazy not to use the rental negotiations as a bit of leverage to try and get it gone.

They tried and failed

Your contempt for the Wasps hedge fund might hold some merit if you had shown the same contempt for Sisu over the last 10 years.
Unfortunately, you have been a sickening apologist of Sisu and attacked anyone who has dared to oppose them.
In short you are a hypocritical wanker.

Similarly those who tell us how efficient and successful the Wasps hedge fund is. Don't see you complaining about that.

You can see by the way the abuse has started that the season is nearly upon us.

So if issue moved us permanently to Worcester invested 50mil and got u to the premier they'd be a success? Would they fuck. SISU are cunts but so are Wasps. The admiration for a hedge fund the took advantage of the shit situation a hedge fund put us into is sickening.
Who is admiring them.
Same can be said about the ones who turn these threads around to take the heat off Sisu cunts the lot of them

He knows he looks like a Twonk on this. All the times was so adamant that the legal action has no impact on Wasps at all. That they were liars when they said it was a distraction.
When in reality there was 30 million reasons why it was in Wasps interest that the legal action was stopped.
To be honest even if SISU were not looking for money from Wasps. The legal action was still costing Wasps time and money just by having their legal teams reviewing it all.
So even if they hadn't been threatened in February. They would have still been looking to say to CCFC the legal stuff is a distraction let's finish the talks when you are done suing everyone ( i.e. ditch this legal action and you might be able to stay long term at the Ricoh)
They were in my opinion trying to bluff SISU into ditching the legal action.
SISU were trying a counter bluff with the BPA.

At the end of the day trying to destroy ACL.
Then trying to sue the council for having the audacity to not let theirs and a charities business go under.
Then trying to destroy Wasps.
Has left us one season away from becoming homeless. Will eventually cost us some top class academy facilities. Also it will eventually lose us our training ground. It has also significantly contributed to a massive reduction in fan base and division 4 football.
Grendel embarrassingly cheerleader most, if not all of these actions.
When right at the beginning we could have had a long term rental deal with greater access to income streams. Slowly built up a good relationship with the council.
Or actually just put in a decent bid before Wasps appeared.
No instead we got rent strikes, Northampton, sue everyone.
Marvellous well done SISU and well done those of you who encouraged it.

Facebook and twitter is full of the bastards. Nobody is taking heat off sisu, it's pretty much wall to wall calling them cunts at the moment and all the better for it.

As I said the faux admiration is misplaced in my opinion.

It isn't faux admiration. It is simply a comparison between 2 hedge funds as regards marketing, sales, fund raising, not pissing everyone who they deal with off, achieving sporting success and so on.

In fact it should be admired as the out of town Rugby club had a harder job than a 130 year old established football club. But, I'm not the one continuely pointing out that they came from out of town and therefore emphasising their comparitive success.

It is quite funny that the ones who kick wasps the most followed thier own team when they left thier home city.

What was it they said just "supporting the lads" fucking hipocrites.

Let's face it they would still have been going to Northampton if it had been made perminant.

Wasps didn't do what was best for their supporters. Neither did SISU. But Wasps got a stadium cheap. SISU have got nothing but more debt, relegations and no home. So yes Wasps are the better wankers.

Wasps negotiated via a charm offensive.
SISU negotiate via bullying.
Only one way was ever going to win.
SISU have never worked that out and never changed their style since.
The only time they have was when waggot and Anderson were Allowed to do some negotiations.
One got booted and and the other walked. ( I would guess when he discovered bullying was still going on whilst he was trying to negotiate in a friendly manner)
To be fair though it shouldn't have made any difference because we were told that SISU and CCFC are different and it's SISU doing the nasty stuff not CCFC!!!!
