I see Chris Kirkland is out of contract. Anyone think there is a possibility of a return, considering how far his stock has fallen in recent years?

That would be awesome, and his injuries would give Dunn a chance to get some experience!

Always liked Chris Kirkland. I thought his move to Liverpool was the wrong one for him, but to be recognised by such a big club goes to show what a great keeper he could have been for us. I would LOVE to see him back with us!

His back is a mess, hence why he's always injured, it would be great to see him back at the club but he would spend more time in the physio room than on the pitch.

It was good business when we got rid of him. Never really impressed me.

complete sick note of Darren Anderton proportions, love the guy and couldhave easily been englands number one but he cannot last 3 games in a row!

There's nowt wrong with Joe Murphy. He's made some great saves this season and it's because of thim that no team, (apart from Ipswich and Southampton), really gave us a spanking all season. If it wasn't for Murphy we would have been relegated at Christmas

Tbf to Murphy, he knows league 1. He's been promoted twice whilst at Scunny, so I don't think a keeper is our priority. It was last season and I think we made wrong choices, but that was for the championship.

Let him help us get promoted, then ditch him next season!

Brutal, realistic, smart.

Much as i like Chris Kirkland i think we got rid of him at exactly the right time. For once, city actually did a good deal!
Shame about his back since he could easily have been Englands #1 for years.

I say sign him up and play him on the wing, I mean even a keeper could be better than Bell.

Alternatively we do need a striker and cental midfielder, perhaps he could fill in there ;)

Was gutted wen him and Davenport were sold. In kirklands case we probably made the right choice as we already crocked him by playing him from a to young age..

If we had a good enough squad with outfield players we could take a look at him and see if he is better than Murphy. We do not. We need to strengthen the positions we are weak in before bringing in players to cover one position we already have cover for.

Now if a bid came in for Murphy and we could get him for free then it would be a good deal. Otherwise a lack of cash says not now.
