I cannot comment on his previous games, but from what i seen today he is not a Leauge 1 player.

He reminded me of Chris Hussey.
Bad touch, lump it forward, gives it away, dives in when not needed.

Im not botherd if this comes across harsh Leauge 2 is on the way if performances like today are accepted.

Still better than Haynes who has been garbage all season.

Have to say I'd have Stokes over Haynes and Pugh any time. Not sure why Haynes gets bigged up.

its only one bad game, and he wasnt alone today by all accounts.

He has had a reasonable start to his CCFC career considering he came from Forest Green reserves

Go back to non league.
Not quick enough
Not strong enough
Panics
Not good enough

Gave away stupid possession which led to their fee kick/goal

Before that there was only one winner

absolute rubbish observation.

The lad should have been man of the match at the last home game, yet today he played very steady and reliable with one exception of giving the ball away for the free kick/ goal

I would guess that many more mistakes were made by more players

But hey ho lets get on the back of a scapegoat

It's not so much he mistakes or howlers, he just looks to lack the sharpness, speed of thought and fitness.

sharpness comes with games at the level you play and this lad has stepped up a level

In saying that I still think criticism of him is unhelpful and not warranted

Stokes's problem is fitness levels come the 60th/70th minute he's blowing out of his arse, for me the real problem today was centre half, Danny Martin, very poor. We need Johnson and young Willis fighting fit asap. Those blaming Burge, why ? Generally he kept and handled well for me, can't say about free kick without seeing it again but the wall did look a man short. The free kick should never have happened

Who's Danny Martin? Any relation to Aaron?

Sorry Otis my mistake I work with him, he's about 50 and 2 stone over weight and I'd still pick him ahead of the Martin who player yesterday

Agree. I didn't think he looked that out of place in the first hall.. In fact, I don't understand the "He switched to stokes side as he was getting nothing out of Phillips" because in the first half he got nothing out of stokes and switched to Philips side.. Did these people only come in at half time?

the problem is that I think we are closer to non league performances than stokes is to league 1 performances.
