Stokesy has been an excellent servant to our club over the last few years but if we want to progress I do think his future lies elsewhere. Same with Haynes.
Robins hasn't been wrong about much since he arrived has he?
He had a twinkle in his eye when he was asked if he had started work for next season after the bus parade

Nobody can doubt the effort Haynes or Stokes ever put in, Stokes was a star for a while but injuries have hampered him, I wish him well whatever but certainly for me a new LB was probably the main priority of the summer .. as I have said elsewhere, I would be in for a keeper, RB and then would see on what else we need dependant upon us resigning JCH and the futures of McNulty and Bayliss. IF (and I don't believe it will happen) SISU keep the money from the Maddison deal and or the Bayliss deal but
the money from one of them went to Robins, I wouldn't complain too much. I suspect they'll snaffle the lot though.

some people are seating in to much sun he kid is holiday, wearing a shirt given to him, so tomorrow he wears a spurs shirt, arsenal or west ham also given to him does that mean he is off to one of them. May even get out an England shirt does that mean he is playing tonight. think some people need to have a break and switch off for a few weeks. enjoy the sun and cider.

He's good squad man to have around don't think he's championship quality should do a job in league one

Cider. Made with apples.
Apples can be red.
Red rhymes with fed.
Fed is when you eat food.
Food rhymes with rude which can be spelt Ruud.
Ruud Gullit played for Chelsea.
Stokes is off to Chelsea.
Seriously though were did you hear this???

Cider gets you drunk, which is a pity.

Stokes is staying at City,

I, for one, welcome that.

Good left back, and can play centre half as well.

Coming on nicely after his injury set-back.
There was a young lad called Stokes
Whose son wore a Stags shirt for blokes
The fans they were miffed
But they'd simply been stiffed
Because the whole thing was simply a hoax

I'd say left back is the weakest position I the squad at the moment. Definitely needs improving and I'm certain we'll see a new LB arriving.

Stokes has been solid since he has returned to the team. If we are to progress Camwell then there is no point bringing in another LB into the club and we should be ditching Haynes as he would be surplus to the squad.
If Camwell doesn't step up then perhaps we should've taken the alleged £250K offered by Stoke for him last season?

I think it would be a mistake letting Stokes go. He's obviously a good player as shown from how well he played last season and the last few games of this season. Having a 'steady eddie' in a team is crucial, especially amongst a squad that by large is fairly young.

Like the above poster says niggling injuries can clearly have a detrimental effect on confidence and form. Now he's over this he can push on next season hopefully. Haynes definitely needs replacing though, we've given him a chance season after season but he's just not good enough I'm afraid.

In the last few games Stokes has been much closer to the player he was before his serious injury. I am confident that, after a pre-season, he will be good enough for L1 and there's no point projecting further than that at this time
