He ain't wrong tho about our squad, seriously DK go and buy us a fucking proper centre half, a left back and someone that can box to box it in the middle of the park. The completed article then for us.

What would of topped it is if Bertie had winked or blown a kiss to that bellend coming off the pitch when subbed, wilder would of lost his nut lol
Apparently it kicked off at half time in the dugout 🤣

Gotta love Bassette, he made the game feel almost like it was a massive rivalry match up.
There was more guts and players flying in yesterday than there was in the Shef U vs Shef Wed game.

Can't believe how clearly shot to pieces O'Hare was on the field. I loved the booing in game and our lads flying in when he had the ball, but I felt like giving him a clap when he was subbed of woulda been class from our lot.

He pissed me off leaving for free and going Shef U but can't forget how much of a legend O Hare was when he was with us.

Don't think he will last long at Shef U tho, can see his career fizzling out at Shef U. The fans are 50 50 about him, I think they thought they were signing a 10 goals 10 assists per season player.

Can’t stand the bloke, detested him since the league one SISU protest game live on sky when we stopped the game by running on the pitch.

Tried to make it all about him saying teams are always trying to get one over their players. Was literally nothing to do with them.

He Really suits that club and their fans as they all have an inflated opinion about themselves.

Go up straight back down repeat. Wankers.

They are a very strange bunch, probably got a chip on their shoulder due to only being the second biggest club in their own city 🤣

Unfortunately I met him when I was doing a undergrad Sports Journalism course at Teesside University whilst he was manager of Boro - we’d get invited to their training ground to go to the odd presser etc.

A completely difficult bloke, not a nice man whatsoever and the way he belittled someone on my course who forgot to turn his phone on silent during his press conference (admittedly, his phone should have been on silent but come on, he was a student making his start in the world at the time) will forever stick with me, when also asked to spare a few minutes exclusively for the students etc. he couldn’t say no quick enough

Compare that to his predecessor Mr Warnock who was a complete gentleman, took time out to get to get to know everyone in the room and speak to you personally it was night and day

Ironically enough Warnock cannot stand him either as Wilder was speaking to Steve Gibson behind his back whilst he was still in post at Boro angling for his job

I don’t really see the issue with what he’s said tbh. Balanced and complimentary about the Club and “a Mark Robins fan” pre and post match. What did he say about our players underperforming, for the very person that gave them the opportunity to play at this level, isn’t true? It’s been said enough by our own this season?

Without rose tinted specs on, what did he say about Bassette’s shithousing that was out of order? did he dive on two occasions to try and get a penalty? Arguably yes he did, did he know what he was doing with his elbow as he fell on Ahmedhodžić? Certainly looked like he did, did he leave his foot to clip Ahmedhodžic as he stepped over him whilst on the ground? Yes he did, did he embarrassingly roll around clutching his face when he had clearly been grabbed around the neck? Yes he did, did he smile and wink after deliberately getting a fellow pro sent off? Again, yes he did. Ronaldo doing the same to Rooney after getting him sent off at the 2006 World Cup anyone? odious behaviour. He also quite literally, said that he had no complaints about the sending off.

Chris Wilder is Marmite, he’s a lifelong fan of the club he manages, he wears his heart on his sleeve and says it as he sees it. Personally I like that in a manager and would like someone who’s as passionate about our club to manage it, if only we did, oh hang on a minute!

As for the shithousing displayed by Bassette yesterday, 20 years old or not, that isn’t what I want to see from any player wearing the Sky Blue, embarrassing. Let’s be honest and agree, just for a minute, with an opposition manager calling it out for what it is. If we had been on the receiving end of behaviour like that can you imagine what the outpouring of anger, quite rightly, would have been on here?
Mate, i loved it and want us to be bigger shithouses

😂 They are off again, lads. 😂

Reckon the two of you should pick up little G and go camp outside bramall lane until Wilder grants you the opportunity to regale him on how Robins had peaked/lossed the dressing room or whatever it is the three of you prattle on about.

Nah it's ok I'll stay and support ccfc while you lay a shrine when he gets his next job.

Kinda get where you’re coming from, the problem is it’s rife in football at the moment, especially with teams that have recently been in the premiership, just like the time wasting that’s come back in, and the keeper being injured so the coaching staff can reorganise a team.

Refs have the power to stop it but not balls. Until they do we need to give as good as we get. Thought Bertie had a great game yesterday.

For all the modern takes on the game, I sat there on Saturday and thought, actually said it,it didn't look any different to me AAATB,than the game as it was 60-70 yrs ago!

Hound you had a great 45mins on Saturday. Genuinely proud of your performance.

Why not gain an advantage? Is it even an advantage of everyone else is doing it? It's simply levelling the playing field.
You are right, I know everyone is at so it does put us on a level playing field. As I said though it's not my bag and would rather the authorities clamped down on it so that there is a level playing field without it stinking out the game, again just my preference 👍🏼

Agree skybluericoh, someone in authority needs to get a grip and rid the game of it, of course that won't happen. Unfortunately we will have to toe the line with it, and as I've said elsewhere it's just not my bag and I hate seeing it, especially from one of ours.

I also think Bertie and others in the squad have the talent there without the need to do it. 👍🏼

Remember the last World Cup and also at the start of last season and they said they were going to proper clamp down on it and some games were having 10+ mins added on at the end

That soon got knocked on the head

I believe it was advertisers complaining that games were over running into their advert slots on Sky/BT that put a stop to that.

Did they not get the space allocated to them in the end?
Maybe be we need to introduce another slot for them, after all it is a business and all businesses rely on it,mores the pity.

Sky reporter should have asked him if his Middlesbrough players had 'ran around for him' when he got sacked for being in the bottom 3...

Watch him chuntering at the final whistle (12:25 onwards). He slaps Carr's and someone else hands instead of a handshake. What a salty sailor. :ROFLMAO:

If the Sky Reporter had the balls to ask that question Wilder would have just stormed off, the little shit.

Trying to gain an advantage shithousing, in the modern game, is a pet hate of mine, rather not see it myself, old school, that said your reply to my waffle did make me laugh 👍 PUSB.
Absolutely agree with you but almost every other team is doing it and we're at a big disadvantage if we're not. Best all round if it was stamped out but no sign of that.

Sheffield Utd manager complains about a (just) 20 year old opponent dabbling in the black arts while his time feign injury at every opportunity, waste time, fall down like toy soldiers in a kid's game after every challenge - enough said. It's just hilarious whether or not he's right about the Hound🤣

Sad state of affairs that playing the game in the right spirit is a disadvantage these days. I just think we’re being mugged off as fans with all this advantage seeking nonsense and it looks pathetic when you see players rolling around on the ground as if they’ve been shot.

Maybe a trip to a local childrens hospital ward or even more powerful a childrens hospice may give some sort of perspective to such pathetic on pitch gamesmanship! The authorities need to get a grip and allow referees to punish such behaviour, will never happen though, hey ho. 👍
