Scored 16 in 17 league games for juventus this season.

Incredible athlete and goalscorer

Has there ever been a more devoted footballer, seems like he can play until he's 40 at this rate

Brilliant player, aside from the driving he is a superb professional and role model. Better than Messi imo as he has lifted a relatively ordinary international team to win a trophy

Add the fact that he's done what he has done in different leagues, with different teams. Messi has achieved what he has in a constantly brilliant Barcelona team.

Messi dragged Argentina to a World Cup final. Ronaldo played about 10 minutes in Portugal’s Euros final win
Messi was crap in the world cup final. Ronaldo dragged an average Portugal to the Euros final.

Messi dragged his team to the final of a far bigger tournament. Ronaldo’s team won it for him in the end. Messi’s team could not

Can't stand the jumped up twat. But hey, that's my opinion! Has everyone forgotten what an utter c**t he was in that England game? Cheats like f**k and winks at his team-mates after he gets Rooney sent off? His own club team-mate? What a wanker!

Arguably the best player of all time.
Best striker of all time was the Brazilian Ronaldo.
He was a goal machine that could destroy defences.
A level above Messi and Portuguese Ronaldo.
Best Argentine player I would say was Maradona, followed by Messi and Mario Kempes.

Ronaldo was incredible but as an all round player Cristiano is better, for me.

Ronaldo didn't get Rooney sent off, it was the boot aimed at Carvalho's testicles that did it.

Ronaldo becoming the pantomime villain in the tabloids meant Rooney didn't quite get the burning effigies Beckham enjoyed in 1998

Fustrating Messi has never tested himself in another league. Ronaldo winning Leagues, Champions Leagues, Golden boots and Ballon dors in different leagues puts him above Messi for me, let alone his accomplishments at international level.

I prefer Messi but you've got to give Ronaldo credit for doing it in different leagues and at international level and for reinventing himself as he's aged.
Totally different type of player now to when he was at United or his early days at Real.

I had actually forgotten about it, but Rooney was the idiot that caused the red card in the first place.

Ronaldo was a slippery wanker when convincing the weak referee but I've forgiven Ronaldo now, ain't worth the stress and heartache!

Prefer Ronaldo to Messi anyhow as he's done it in different leagues, messi ain't.

The pundits on that are priceless: “we don’t do that, we don’t go up to referees to get players sent off, are we just too honest”...cuts to Rooney stamping on a guy’s balls ffs hahah

It is priceless, especially coming from Shearer and Wright, they seemed to always be in the ref's face, pressuring him when they played!?

Both players have also firmly planted feet and knees respectively in the head of opponents when playing, but heaven forbid a foreigner has a bit of a moan at the ref.
