since 2001 ourselves and Huddersfield have been relegated and promoted in the same seasons.....

Just took a look on their website and noticed by June 6th last year 98% renewals and the price for the first 15000 was £179 for adults that was after finishing 19th in the table great leap of faith by supporters and management.

I also notice this season the little devils put £20 on the price and sold 17500+by April 28th before they knew which league they were playing in imagine paying £200 for watching premiership football next season terrible.The very best of luck to them

Hope this trend reverses when Huddersfield* get relegated next year and we get promoted.
(*Nothing against Huddersfield but I think they will struggle)

I think they might but really hope they don't I hope they show some of the prima donna's how teamwork is often better than individualism. Leicester showed it last year.

Isn't the Huddersfield side mostly different now to the one Robins had?
Think only remaining players are Hogg and Wells from Robins era? Last game as manager was 4-0 home defeat to Bournemouth where Callum Wilson scored a brace on his debut.

I think Blackburn have moved leagues since 2001 everytime we have aswell
They got promoted the year we got relegated, relegated to Championship when we did and this season.

I read somewhere that Huddersfield had the fifth lowest budget in Championship last season. So hopefully this will help put to bed all the budget bullocks spouted by some.

I heard Rotherham had a bigger budget this year.
A budget is a myth as such. Sure it helps but it's down to the managers recruitment and team ethics. The players wanting it for each other and being up to the job

Listening to the radio today and somebody said that Brighton aren't planning to invest in many new players they will be the whipping boys, the bottom three will contain Brighton and Huddersfield and if they don't spend Burnley.

Really now I thought they may invest a little to survive, at a guess they may try and get the pick of championship players so if they do unfortunately go down they are in a good position to have a go at bouncing back. A yoyo club if you like.
Undoubtedly both clubs will pick up points with spirited performances but will be a tough campaign, Huddersfield need to tighten up defensively massively and add more goals and can Glenn Murray provide the goals to carry Brighton in the premier league?

Taking the emotion out of it and looking as a sky sports subscriber it's a farce the massive money sky pay them is to improve the playing staff not bank the cash, I believe they should be refused the money and parachute payments unless they have made an effort.Prize money at the end of the season should be points based not position.
Lack of ability to score will kill these sides as they don't keep many clean sheets.

I live in Huddersfield and the impact on the town is massive. Every pub has flags flying, kids are wearing their colours and the amount of Man Utd shirts on show is noticeably reduced.
The club have got everything right. Dean Hoyle is a Town fan through and through. He has invested slowly and recognised that Wagner was the man to back with a massive PR campaign. For the last 18 months there has been so much pushing of the 'Wagner Revolution' on billboards and local media. My kids brought home a voucher book from school at the start of last season. In it was a voucher for every league home game, to admit adults for £10 and kids for £5. I could have attended every game last season on that basis.
It took a while but at the start of last season there was a real buzz from the off, that something special was happening. Hoyle has kept the fans close and listened to their views, and as a result they have backed him. The atmosphere has improved since they split one end of the ground home/away, and located the vocal fans next to the away enclosure.
I don't expect Hoyle to just pocket the PL cash, and I honestly believe he will do all he can to keep them up, whilst having one eye on the future security of the club. Hoyle is not a mega rich man, so there isn't masses of extra money waiting in the wings to fund a PL squad.
He's already secured Wagner for next year and I expect him to spend most of the PL cash on players.
Really hope they stay up, as a shining example of what can be done by a great chairman a united fanbase, and without a billionaire involved.
