It was embarrassing. And no way to make statements IMO.
Apart from getting ejected from somewhere you've just paid £20 to get into after 20 or so minutes, which seems is completely pointless to me, what did they expect to get out it?
Opposition fans / clubs aren't going to sympathise with clubs who have these dicks supporting them!

its a criminal offence when it suits, fair play to the invaders but these invasions imo should only happen at northampton. anywhere else and we will lose sympathy and will cause friction between us

I was there today and didn't see any violence. I saw 3 people get on the pitch and watched fat stewards try and catch them which was comical. After a couple of minutes though it lost it's charm. As per normal Media blowing it out of proportion and people who were not there believing every word the media puke out and jumping on the bandwagon of outrage. Why not talk about the game, which is why people are fans. For the record the minimum we deserved today was a draw.

Watching the game yesterday and seeing those few fans run on I was half expecting many more to follow. I don't normally condone that stuff, BUT, part of me was hoping a few hundred would follow them and just sit in the centre circle to make a point. Publicise our situation.
As I said, normally it would be stupid to run on, but I can understand the anger and frustration. We've been lied to and let down by Sisu, by the FL, by the FA it seems. No wonder people get angry. Common sense and fair play have gone out of the window. What is left for the fans to do?
To be honest the thousand or so City fans there yesterday were amazingly tolerant. I half expected it to really kick off.
For all I know the few that ran on might just have been drunk as skunks and just acting like prats, but I suspect it stemmed from pure frustration.
I'm all in favour of peaceful mass demonstrations.
So don't any of us be too hard on those blokes.

number 1. other fans saw that pitch invasion as pathetic and unnecessary as what will 15 people running on the pitch do if a march of 5000-7000 people can't do anything.
number 2. Did anyone else notice the small guy in the flat cap walking round calling people pussies for not going onto the pitch only for him to do nothing all game but look like a tosser. :jerkit:
number 3. The best bit about it was when that cocky 12 year old ran on laughing only to get caught by the stewards and was eventually led of crying like a baby.

too right It was only 6 people for Christ sake, no violence, yet its making news everywhere.
If they hadn't ran on we would have no coverage, how can we bring it into the nations front rooms peacefully, very difficult.

Those who ran on were on my lads coach. Apparently one youngster, about a 14 year old ran on, his dad went on to get him off and his dad's mates went on because the dad went on, couldn't make it up really. I think the cops or stewards got a bit rough with the youngster so it nearly got out of hand but that was about it. Don't think they got charged, but that can happen later.
The one plus point from this is it will have pricked up the ears of the Northampton old bill and they will man up accordingly inside the stadium more cost to Otium, sometimes just the threat can be as productive as the real thing.

When we were in dire straits at Chester City we got a game abandoned through pitch invasions... It wasn't a mass pitch invasion, just between 5 and 10 people invading at regular intervals. Eventually the ref had enough of all the stoppages and called the game off... Desperate times mean desperate measures. It got us media coverage we never had before and forced the owners into paying a fine.
Your biggest problem lies within the best place to do anything major would be at a sixfields game... Unfortunately that would mean giving money over to Sisu to get in the ground... Don't really expect any of them attending home games on a regular basis to do anything as if they're happy to hand over money to Sisu every other week then can't see them wanting to get the message across.

Chester, you're right. I'd love to be in both places. A decision has to be made. Think the vast majority will go to Ricoh, but I wouldn't blame any for going to Sixfields and putting in a peaceful protest in the centre circle.
If any do this and get fined I'd happily chip in a few quid to help pay it. Long as nobody is hurt.
