Boyce is an excellent player. They spent decent money on him but he got injured early last year and missed the whole season so didn't make an impact. No idea how he's recovered from his injury but I imagine he's a key player for them.

May have been mentioned elsewhere but is Sterling away for this? Remember MR saying Bayliss "should be good to go for Burton following injury" so assume he isn't in an England squad but Sterlings a regular in the U19s, do they have a game?

Rubbish I don’t think they should cancel games they should just use their squad or youth players, there are already enough dead times when the boring international games are on

If fit and selected he’ll have to play so either way has to be a doubtful starter Saturday

I can understand his position as we've moaned about games having to be played when we've been missing called up players. But them's the rules and everyone knows it at the start of the season so you either accept it or walk away. If your team plays well, players will catch the eye and you will have to suffer at some point. Strangely, I've not heard of any of our lot being called up (yet) unless I've missed something ;)

When you sign these players, you know the situation.

The end

Not really though. L1/L2 rarely sign internationals. They may sign players from other countries who then do well enough to earn a call up.

I'd say it's a bit harsh to say that they know the situation when they sign.
