If we only had a handful of fans at sixth fields and the fact that a new stadium cannot be built I wouldn't have thought in the Coventry boundaries - why would our fans treat a new stadium any differently to attending sixth-fields - I would not attend a game outside the Coventry boundaries and personally would treat it like sixth-field and would not attend - therefore where are these revenues going to come from even if the club did build there own stadium - would the club not be better asking the fans if they built a stadium ex miles away would you attend - as i think they maybe shocked with the results

They won't it's bullshit and lies and just a fairy story to detract from all the negativity of their legal ambitions.

A couple more fantastic posts, well done.

Meanwhile I'll continue to support the team, location isn't relevant as Ann Lucas and her cronies would not grant planning for a CCFC ground within its boundaries, so wake up!

It might be a sound idea to ask Ann why CCC wouldn't renegotiate from £1:28M to our current rent £100K, then we wouldn't have had to move to Northampton or why they didn't offer CCFC the opportunity of the deal struck with Wasps??????????

Why not ask you chums at SISU why they told so many lies over their 7 years tenure. Why not ask SISU why they didn't make good on the £20m to take the club forward on takeover like Ranson promised? Why not ask SISU why they haven't made firm offers for a share in the Ricoh(Over their tenure) something they've been offered 3-4 times over 7 years? When all is said and done, why don't you and your chums and Sixfield attendees, when the new stadium outside of Coventry boundaries is built go and enjoy s**t football with s**t owners. You never know all 1500 of you might get to enjoy non league football after a while :)

As long as its a reasonable distance people would still go, the only ones who won't are those who aren't going anyway at the moment and are still boycotting because we signed Marlon King

Do you mean those fans with morals, principals and ethics?.....Or those fans that chanted "She said yes Marlon?" Take your time, no rush to answer that. Or perhaps you don't think our Football Club has had enough murderers, and women beaters playing for us yet?

Prehaps because SISU were, and still are, trying to sue them? Or perhaps they felt they couldn't trust them for some reason? Apart from that, you should know it wasn't within CCC's power to offer them anything. That was down to ACL which CCC didn't control.

If only they would. All this cloak and dagger bollocks by Fisher on locations, if he just got the fans on board and tested the water, he'd have some idea if we would be prepared to go along with it.

His "build it and they will come" approach is as much market research he'll probably do, along with give it a few games and we'll pack out Sixfields.

Nobody is going to criticise you for going but how many will attend with you as we have already seen what happened at sixth field the sums did not quite stack up- why would it be any different second time around

No I don't mean those fans, I mean the fans who hide behind the most convenient excuse at the time because they can't be arsed anymore.

What is this obsession with boundaries? You could build a stadium 100 yards from the Ricoh that's outside the city boundary, you'd attend one and not the other?

Sounds a fantastic idea. Why not change the name to Exhall United Football Club as well.

@ CCFC..... "the only ones who won't are those who aren't going anyway at the moment and are still boycotting because we signed Marlon King"...............................Care to rethink your reply to my last post mate?....I had a fabulous 6 weeks holiday in the USA last year..LA followed by a cruise from LA to Florida and the last week near Fort Lauderdale staying with friends there. This was all paid for with money I didn't give to SISU. SISU have given me f**k all, why should I give them anything? They have shown absolutely nothing in terms of giving fans a good reason to give up their hard earned money for.

SISU have certainly murdered our club.

No I don't need to rethink my reply. It's your choice mate, I've come to peace with the reality that we have shit support(ers) for a while now.

Many Ex Coventrians come back to their City of birth to support it's sports teams playing within that vicinity, If they built some cheap stadium in Wellesbourne or Fillongley it's just not going to have the same appeal is it. Not to mention all those people who still live in the City not being able to catch a cheap bus/taxi etc

That's a very good point. Probably help Wasps gates as a side effect.

The argument, that it is a heritage/identity thing and that it wouldn't be representing Coventry if it sets one step outside of the city sort of lost its credibility when people flocked to see the Wasps.

How far would you travel? Bedworth? Stoke? What if they relocated to Yorkshire? What if they changed the name of the club as well, to say, Wakefield Sky Blues? Would you still support the team and travel every weekend?
What if Sphinx or Cov United then made it into the league? Would you ever support them instead of or as well as Wakefield Sky Blues?

I boycotted when we signed King and I haven't been back. I got out of the habit and there's been nothing to bring me back since.

Not sure this will be the outcome. The stadium needs to be in Coventry. The Ricoh as a matter of principle. Anywhere else and I think you can whistle.

Sixfields or Nuneaton, it makes no difference now. We did it once and will find it easier to do next time. I think the average gate will drop 1500 next season anyway. (Maybe even more if in League 2). SISU haven't got a clue. It is too late to recover.

That would be something. I would have to be an impassioned spectator for Coventry United but would go nowhere near a Wakefield football club. Why? Should I? Oh yes, I'm a Sky Blue and therefore I am supposed to follow the colours anywhere. I doesn't work for me, not sure it works for anyone except the daftest of the posters on here.

RFC ,doesn't go half as much as he lets on, so ignore his im a superfan shite.

If you really feel strongly against something happening that affects your life, whatever it may be, you should protest.
ignore people calling you fickle or part time fans, if you feel so strongly that you just can't carry on supporting something, I say stick with it and ignore all the insults you may get.

It seems now that thousands feel so strongly that they have postponed supporting something they once loved so much doing ,that Sisu realise they really are up a creek without a propulsion device .

The lies and deceit have gone on too long, year upon year of top grade bullshite, but one thing you should of never ever done is take this once great club to Northampton, that was the final nail in your coffin. You will never be forgiven for treating the majority of fans like something you just stepped in.

carry on with the lies, but you really are looking even more stupid by the day. By employing Fisher alone shows how incompetant and uncaring you are ,let alone allow the man to keep spouting the constant BS every time he opens his oral orifice

Your first point kind of underlines my own... If you don't even live in the city, an extra few hundred yards is even less of an issue surely? As for your second point, well, people find a way. It doesn't seem to deter the Bees fans

So will we get free transport........like we should have got to take us to Northampton.......like the Wasps supporters still get?

That would be lovely but with these owners I doubt it.

The more I think about this, the more I feel the owners have patronised us from the start.

Congratulations?

Nope, just factual. I don't put pressure on you for your opinions. Why exactly do you think you have the right to do it to me, even though it's not working BTW? For me there are many things more important than football - and why would I want to put myself through the misery of watching shite every week and coming home disappointed? I cried the first time I watched us lose - it was Everton about 1970. It's bad enough seeing the results without having to watch it play out.

I couldn't give a shit whether you as an individual go or not, I've made peace with the fact that we have rubbish support.

I'm not trying to put pressure on you or anyone so not sure what you're angle is there

I agree. But you used them to compare our situation if we had to travel again. What I look forward to is seeing what their attendances are when they stop the free transport. It isn't just the cost of travel but also the organising the travel each game. If you don't drive or don't fancy driving 200 miles for each game you will go less unless you are a diehard. And they haven't been in Coventry for anywhere near long enough to replace these supporters.

Maybe this is the SISU plan. They saw that we wouldn't follow them to Northampton. And Wasps have moved nearly three times as far. So they see the Ricoh as becoming a bargain and white elephant again. And will keep up with the pretense of a new stadium until they see what happens over the next couple of years.
