It answers some questions, but raises others, which I don't think they are willing to answer. Not sure it really answers a lot of questions tbh. If the owner is still constantly putting in funds to cover losses then why are we desperate to sell?

“However, despite this great effort, the costs of competing in the Championship, squad expenses/wages and the running the Club continue to increase each season and continue to exceed these revenues”
Basically, suck it up
They need to sell up, then.“However, despite this great effort, the costs of competing in the Championship, squad expenses/wages and the running the Club continue to increase each season and continue to exceed these revenues”

Good point! If it said that we had to sell Hyam to pay for the pitch it may have been more palatable. Also it says we didn’t pay for the pitch repairs , which A) I doubt and B) if so makes the Hyam sale even more confusing
The Club is also impacted by current ‘cost of living’ increases, such as energy costs, travel costs etc – with around £500k of cost increases on last season.

NEWS: Club Update - August 2022
We understand some concerns from fans over the last few weeks and it is important that we address as many as we can.www.ccfc.co.uk
Their own reports. Strange brew, surely it would suit their narrative so they wouldn't lie? There's also transfer instalments on Sheaf and Gyokeres likely due. That's on top of the pretty severe cashflow shortage and pitch costs - assuming contrary to reports we did in fact pay for the repairs.
It says "Coventry City are not paying any additional funds on top of our rent agreement fee to fund the pitch improvements" which is what was suspected wasn't it? We'd already paid rent and we've now made further upfront payment which will be offset against future rent. Long term we don't pay more but short term it impacts cash flow, particularly with no income from home games. Also it says we didn’t pay for the pitch repairs , which A) I doubt and B) if so makes the Hyam sale even more confusing
Gah people are so fucking needy and entitled. Moan when nothing is said, pick it apart when it is.
Basically a bunch of babies raging that we haven't got a sugar-daddy to bankroll us. suck it up! much rather be in our situation than that of a that a bunch of other teams in our league who are chucking good money after bad and wracking up huge debt.
It is pretty fucking obvious they are trying to sell the club. If the playing squad is adequate to compete and stay in the league whilst they chase a sale, they are never are going to pump money in which they wont get back.
Dom is the only 1st teamer we haven't replaced from last season and the article says we will be continuing our search for recruits. Chill out
There is no justification for not communicating the executive boxes debacle earlier. Can't believe they're trying to justify that one.

People can complain but without someone willing to just throw money away what alternative strategy should they pursue? The only way they're going to make significant returns is promotion to the Prem and they simply aren't going to write the kind of cheques required for that.
So we're, at best, treading water until someone is prepared to buy the club. Its all well and good saying sell up, you need a willing buyer and lets not pretend someone like Hoffman coming in is going to give the kind of funding people want put into the club.
