Chief Commentator!
With him being pretty much out of favour, anyone else think we will try and offload him in January? I wouldn't be surprised to him on the surplus to requirements along with Elliott who appears out of favour, Kilbane etc

Surely our owners wouldn't be stupid enough to offload a couple of our strikers when the probability is we won't get McGoldrick!

I hope not. Elliot didn't look too bad at the start of the season... I couldn't possibly comment on Cody... I'm really not sure what the issue is there!!

Don't be stupid, they wouldn't leave us up shit creak like that, they'd get a couple of goalkeepers in to balance it out!

I was suprised that he didn't get a runout on Saturday. He couldn't have been any worse than McSheff who, apart from the penalty, seemed to be pretty anonymous for most of the game.

it is very strange how we dont really have a second striker, Sheff in midfiled,

All the others come in and fade away, Cody, Ball, ROD, Elliott.

Atleast McGoldrick and Baily are playing Tuesday (theyve played in previous JPT matches) I guess Sheff will play , with McGoldrick up front by himself!!

I don't mind McG upfront on his own... I do mind McSheff playing! He can fuck off! Barton/Fleck in!

I'd play Cody up front with Goldie with fleck behind them I thought robins would try this Saturday bit surprised and pissed off to see only one striker Saturday

I think Elliott has had a lot of niggling injuries since Robins has arrived so I wouldn't necessarily say Robins has written him off yet.

I agree on Mcdonald though

In what formation?

I would've liked to have seen (not literally, I couldn't go) Cody play upfront. Remember, McG isn't allowed to play in the cup games (bar JPT) so he isn't cup tied so he can attract buyers.

Barton put in a fantastic pass for the pen, so him or Fleck would do.

Barton and fleck wouldn't make the runs necessary to play in the second striker role behind a front man, it's not all bout picking a pass, you need to be constantly make runs in behind the striker, which is exactly what sheff did to get the pen. Good ball, great run.

In transfer fees and wages McDonald has cost this cash strapped club in excess of £1 million to date and yet still some fans get behind him.

Why by the way do his fans call him Cody when they use surnames to describe most other players?

Is it to avoid any confusions over a clown who is the mascot for a fast food joint he clearly is partial to?

The owners won't but Robins will want him gone. Sadly there will be no takers to match the wage he is getting here.

Eastwood cost a darn site more than that and many were still behind him as well.

Fair point but most definitely not me.

Cody is much easier than McDonald to write. Cody is easier than McD on a phone as well :D

Songs of praise sketch from not the nine oclock news show.
A full congregation when songs of praise were there.
'Last week there was 4 in the congregation. me,the organist, and 2 people who turned up a week early....Where were you bastards then !!!'

Sounds like an average crowd at the Ricoh..until the Songs of Praise effect at White Hart Lane.

We surely would want to back him so the club haven't wasted that amont!?

Word is that Cody McDonald is totally unproffesional and subsequently has major fitness problems. He will go a soon as possible. Another wonder signing from super scout Andy Thorn to go with the 9 idiots he recruited in the summer.

To be fair to Barton he did put himself about in the second half, not for the whole of it because he became anonymous for parts but he has said he wants the behind the striker role and I believe he should get it

It's not about putting himself about, it's about making the right attacking runs, getting behind the striker, becoming the scond striker when the balls out wide. This is especially important if your playing behind a lone striker.

Moussa played that role brilliantly when he played there 2nd half vs Hartlepool and against Colchester. The problem is we have too many of these types of player - Moussa can play there, some want Barton there, some want fleck there, it's also probably bakers best position and sheff has played there a lot.

Barton looks like Michu... If only he could play like him.
