Yeah, I've been speaking to a couple of Pompey fans in the office this morning and saying something similar.
He's been awful and deserves to be dropped but the look on his face after the 4th goal on Saturday - he knew he'd f*&ked up and look as if the crowd was getting to him.
This.
I know we all moan and grumble, but he hasn't under performed on purpose and doesnt deserve dogs abuse, especially during games. Clear he's not at the level and should now be taken out of limelight, for both him and the team.
Modern day society is horrible, suspect he will be fully aware and received some abuse directly if he's on social media especially, sadly.

At this point dropping him is as much for his own good as the teams. He has to go.
He and Wilson should leave in the summer, we should back Dovin and sign a new backup.

But Dasilva, Binks and Thomas should be held accountable also, we were garbage long before Collins was picked in goal again.

Watch the reaction time of Binks for the Hull goal last week and the fourth goal v Pompey. Just stood watching the ball. Tbf to Thomas he gets stuck in and puts his body on the line, don’t see that from Binks at all. Both horrendous passers of the ball though.

Binks is utter useless and not at this level
Thomas is just Jordan Pickford at centre back, flying in, rash, last ditch constantly and generally erratic.
We can't achieve anything with that as your centre backs, Jay can't play again either.

We needed a CM/DM at the start of the season and we still need one in December.
Get a CM/DM and a LB and you're providing the sort of cover the CBs are entitled to expect.

Our defence is appalling all round, Collins is just part of the problem. We don’t actually have a decent centre back, so much backing off and ball watching every game. I don’t know what we do to goalkeepers though, we’ve had so many come and look promising and somehow after a few months they look like all talent and confidence has been sucked out of them .

Know what you mean... but he is a highly paid professional goalkeeper. He knows the deal about what to expect when he underperforms. I was not at the game and have not seen it on highlights etc. but there were comments on the match thread about him having a bit of a joke with Pompey players when we lost heavily. IF (and I certainly don't believe all I read on here) that is true then fuck him, he deserves all he gets.

Lampard needs to change Collins JDS and Binks and also let it be known they are dropped and not rested, I wouldn’t even have any of them in the match day squad.
