I think I must be watching a different team. the number of times we had people open for a quick pass from the keeper to get an attacking move going only for Collins to ignore them really frustrates me. As does the frequency with which we have a player stood waiting to take a throw looking round for anyone to make themselves available.Quicker from the goalkeeper, throw ins and such like
This. I desperately hope we haven't made a mistake and Lampard can lead us to the promised land but the 'everything Robins did was shit', 'Lampard has changed the entire club for the better' narrative some people seem to want to push is just bizzare.Feels like some people are really going overboard to discredit Robins and heap praise on Lampard.
Keeper and cbs just drawing the press. Had a lot of success first half drawing them in and then shifting to the wingsI think I must be watching a different team. the number of times we had people open for a quick pass from the keeper to get an attacking move going only for Collins to ignore them really frustrates me. But there are posters who down on lampard for no reason tooFeels like some people are really going overboard to discredit Robins and heap praise on Lampard.
I actually quite Lampard so far but I wouldn’t say there has been a drastic improvement. We’ve played two shit teams, a team who were missing their first choice defence and striker and an admittedly pretty decent West Brom side.
In regards to subs they are basically no different , 73rd minute first sub yesterday and as before like for like
Its mental. He’s getting praise for stuff he hasn’t changed. The desperation is something to behold on here. The match thread yesterday literally had people giving it the “change it robins” joke FFS. Praise for Haji Wright getting injured as well. Just bananas. some formerly quite sensible posters are really making themselves look silly.
Are you one of the sensible turned silly posters?

You should stay that way.Ive never been sensible thank you.
Lampard himself is advocating a 'one game at a time' approach and I'm totally on board with that and think everyone should be really .
We're not promotion candidates after yesterday same as,we weren't relegation candidates after Wednesday.
One game at a time and let's see where it takes us.
The one thing I will definitely say is the players will be getting the highest level of coaching they've ever had here as the guys that have come in are far and beyond what was here previous in terms of coaching
That can only be a positive
Well it might be that the speed was glacial before and has at least moved up a couple of notches, but the endless dithering has largely gone.I think I must be watching a different team. the number of times we had people open for a quick pass from the keeper to get an attacking move going only for Collins to ignore them really frustrates me. I love the complaining about “like for like” substitutes. “Oh he’s taken off a striker for another striker”…Yeah no shit mate, that’s what a substitution is.In regards to subs they are basically no different , 73rd minute first sub yesterday and as before like for like
In other words:It’s four games and we’ve done pretty much as expected (can fact check this cos I made a first five game prediction and we’re bang on track). I would also expect us to pick up a lot of points from the next five. That’s just the way the fixtures run.
Theres green shoots, there’s also things that don’t look like they’re improving. Im just hoping we put a run of wins together over this period and the confidence boost does the rest.
In other words:
I shit on lampard joining but im gonna say I expect lots of wins so when he gets them I can say he's only doing ok and not great
I see right through you man. That's all I'm saying.
Not if he's a shit manager and we have shit recruitment like so many say???? You can't have it both waysWhat? You don’t think we should beat bottom of the league at home?
What? You don’t think we should beat bottom of the league at home?
When I see a good performance from us, on a level to many last season and even more the previous years, I’ll praise it. But scraping past bottom of the league at home ain’t it.

I've never flip flopped from my view. I loved robins. I don't think the squad is bad. I see potential in lampard. I'm happy with what I've seen so far
Yesterday was a good performance and it wasn't a scraped win at all, should have been a greater margin.
All this and then you say you expect to win loads of matchesIve not seen anything to suggest the squad isn’t poor tbh. I don’t think we’ve played particularly well under Lampard yet. I’d argue our best performances this season have been under Robins and maybe Carr, but even they were just average performances from these players last year.
At the very least I’d like to see us hit the heights of last season before declaring Super Frank the worlds greatest coach.
I'm trying to remember all of these sparkling home performances under Robins where we swept teams aside. We won games most often by the odd goal, which is perfectly fine.
We won 9 of 23 home games last season.
All this and then you say you expect to win loads of matches
Maybe you mean you hope to win. Because there is no way any sane person can expect to win when they see so many problems with the clubWere playing 4 of the bottom 5 damn right I do!

I don't think we did the double over a single one of the bottom 5 last season. It's a hard league and our default this season has been fairly poor. We're improving but expecting to go on a huge unbeaten run would be some going, as nice as it would be.Were playing 4 of the bottom 5 damn right I do!
Ok so your on record as saying recruitments been good yeah? Least I can then remember where you stand on that one then.Problems at a top six club don’t make it a bottom six club.
The United and Wolves games are irrelevant to how we have done in a common or garden home match in the leagueWould you say yesterday was better than Wolves or Man Utd? I’d not even put it above Boro this season or Sheff Utd.
We looked good in bits, our attacking play is coming on, but we still needed 3.18 xG to score and still conceded basically out xG. First half we were dominant and went in losing. Second half was much more even weirdly enough.

Personally I'd take 1 game at a time. I'd like a win at Pompey but an away point isn't to be sniffed at and they've taken from better teams than us already.

He's trying to turn it into a lampards not better than robins thing to get easy likesThe United and Wolves games are irrelevant to how we have done in a common or garden home match in the league
Recruitments poor but we are a top 6 side?No recruitment has been poor VFM and were going to rely on MvE and Simms doing a 180 to rescue any profit.
You can expect it as I'm not sure what your or I expect matters one jot. Personally I'd just like to see more of what I've been seeing. If it leads to a win then great, if we play ok and come away with an away point, it's alright for me.Im not expecting a huge unbeaten run. I’m expecting a few wins and a confidence boost. I do expect us to win our next match though.

No one is saying lampards a better cov manager. Just saying happy with his start and the potential of what he may achieve
