If we end up with a stream from home system I hope that they come down like a tonne of bricks on anybody passing it on for free on Facebook. The club will need the money more than ever.
Would say though, any BCD really needs to be while the public is in lockdown.

If restrictions are lifted, people are just going to gather round mates' and relatives' houses. One pays, 6 or 7 come round.

If we have a bit of freedom of movement it could prove to be a problem.

One for every 6/7 isn't the same as 2,000 following each Facebook stream and the person running it begging for cash.

Nope, for sure. Wasn't trying to compare the two. It is something to bear in mind though. Surely loads of gatherings in houses is not what we want or the country needs.

Agree 100%. And on the wider concern, I have always presumed the reason Ifollow don’t do a smart tv app or have their own channel is to avoid one person paying and then having the lads around. It’s not quite the same crowding round an iPad screen with your mates for the match (we’ve done it). I know there are ways and means to get it to cast to your tv but for the non tech savvy it’s your tablet, phone or laptop.

Just thinking out loud, what do we think would bring the clubs more money. Millions of people subscribing to a blanket ticket to watch ALL games behind closed doors to end of season or the actual fans of each club buying their clubs individual games only? Moot point I’m sure as the big boys wouldn’t allow it but for Cov and other league 1 clubs I imagine they would be better off with a subscription service.

Players are going to massively lose match fitness if they do want them to play :(
Shrews game will be huge

Win and i think we mentally pick up where we werw giving physical side of it time to catch up

Lose and pressure of chocking is on instantly which could make everything worse

All teams in same boat robins should be telling them to keep sharp at home best they can,I think we will be fresh and pick up where we left off Kelly was crying out for a rest.

We are the best league 1 side I expect Godden etc to be even better after a rest

I never thought I'd be happy to see you saying players need to be rested, but I have missed it :)

100% Robins will be ready I’m certain we will be ever better and take the league by storm hoping for big numbers when we get back playing.

I instinctively flinched when you said you were 'hoping for big numbers' after all thats gone on... this thing plays with your mind..

Its everyone else that needs to be getting up tight, its ours to lose now.

It's the same for everyone but for sides who had plenty of injuries in their squads they will be stronger for it whereas we had no particular injuries to contend with when this all started. So the theory is we face sides stronger than they would have been. But I am confident we have more than enough to win the league from the position we are in.

Caveat is I still think the season might be finalised without another ball being kicked. Average points being applied to configure the final standings.
If there is some football it will certainly start behind closed doors with a strict regime in place in order to finish the fixture list and maybe get lifted for the last two or three games.
Think though players would need a couple of weeks behind closed doors training to get match fit first. Then the logistics of away teams travel, opening up stadiums involves other staff members.
This while everyone else is told to stay at home, save lives?

I don't know when the Belarussian league finishes but we should try and sign some players if it coincides with the restart of our season.

They'll be fit and raring to go (although might have Corona).

Also noted that the CCFC related thread is attracting a lot less traffic than the politics one. SBT in a fucking nutshell.

Top of my head, but what about a personal online Q&A session for fans with their favourite player.

Pay something like a fiver or £7.99 and you get a 10 min video call with your favourite player and they also send you maybe a Sky Blue pin badge and car sticker or something in the post..

Must be loads of people wanting to talk to Godden about his hair, or people wanting to ask Dabo how come he's just so damn good.

ok so if it went to a vote...

Who would rather an average points scenario, end of season now
Who would rather play the games out behind closed doors

I suspect I know the answer....

couldn't give a fuck about football at the minute to be honest.
Don't think that will change until I'm on my way to the train station for the next game or settling down with a carry out to watch it on tele if it's behind closed doors.

If the games had to be behind closed doors I'd rather do average points
