I know all about it, I was working all day and then being a teacher in the evening and weekends...
Hence I would rather have been at work 24/7 than having to be a teacher too.
Most will be going in other than certain office workers. All manufacturing is now 100% functioning. Supermarkets, shops, transport, take away hospitality and any offices that require office presence including accountants. Also oddly if people are working from home they are not supposed to be supervising children all day but actually working
My argument is that schools are peak transmitters so if your child’s bubble is compromised there’s a good chance their parents will get it also.
The remote provision will be better across the board this time and again, some of us do put the effort in to provide a remote education.
Good so let me teach normally
tbf, I think he was making a joke.
Yeah but then when they ask questions? They say they haven't done this stuff in class so you have to go through it with them?
Last time the focus was on the NHS, it was all about nurses etc and a whole lot of different industries were forgotten about who were having to graft as well.
It’s like being in the twilight zone. This is either a threat or it’s not and schools are a major source of transmission. If people think it’s fine then let me teach normally. If it’s not then go remote and just make sure the kid logs in
Just adapt for a tiny period in your working life?
They can ask their teachers in the remote lessons. That’s what we’re here for. Usually spending hours chasing kids for not even logging on never mind not attempting the work.
Ah I see. How do you recommend I teach a practical subject with no practical work allowed?
You have no idea how entitled and self righteous you sound
Well you say you can do it remotely?
The irony of course being that I have busted a gut to try and deliver a decent education first from home and then a box.
Which is an adaption that will change back in a few months - people have to be flexible
I still think Supermarkets should be closed and some sort of click and collect system only if we want to cut the spread.
It’s not an adaptation it’s a 180 flip of the previous way of working and delivering education.

Is it bullshit? I must have imagined those fans in the arena watching boxing and tens of thousands scrambling to do Christmas Shopping?
It should never have been Tier 2, hence they are now banging on about this new strain that is the reason for the outbreak and obviously nothing to do with this:
Then all trying to jump when they are told to stay in...
So the new strain is made up? Some government conspiracy theory to justify some kind of secret attempt to keep London pubs open at all costs? Yep, definitely DEFINITELY not bitter.
Indoor events, crowded Christmas shopping, people ignoring the rules....it’s all happening in every Tier 2 city (and some Tier 3 ones too probably). But for some reason London is the only one that really pisses you off, sat at home hitting refresh and moaning how unfair it all is.
Maybe but in times of national crises people have to adapt - many others have it tougher
It would be impossible to manage
The new strain that hits London after they have allowed people there to do whatever the fuck they want? Strange that.
What is she talking about? Utterly cluelessNandy on this morning says Labour opposes even a staggered start to schools in January and schools have to remain open. Some decisive thinking for once.
Is it 1000 case's versus hundreds of thousands across a three month period ?This is proper tin foil hat stuff. Embarrassing.

It spread in their schools first which is what preceded Hancock rushing out tests there. If the new strain transmits better between younger people it makes total sense.
Do primary school children each have zoom lessons from the first year?

Its almost as if the phone companies are rolling out 5G in the most populated areas first.fuck me
Stick the nutters on a boat that’s heading for the edge of the flat Earth.fuck me
