My brother, who is only 26, has been out with the delta variant since last Wednesday.

He just hasn't been out of bed at all, aches, pains, fevers, chills, chest pains the lot. He plays Saturday league and boxes so fit as a fiddle.

On a selfish self-centred level, I'm glad I was allowed my double vaccine before we went for this joy! It looked like I was expected to fend for myself for a while...

I've got another week and a half till vaccine 2 and then obviously 2 weeks for that to kick in fully. That was getting vaccinated as soon as I was able to too.

My other half’s dad is now allowed to walk her down the aisle without a mask and even to have a dance indoors too. I count that as a win

Also allowed. Of course just a week previous we’d have been allowed 15 guests who would have had to remain seated at all times and all keep wearing a mask. Now we can have a dance floor and a private bar
