After hounding those who didn’t want them for ages….horrible tactics

That hounding might well have saved the lives of some workers who hadn’t planned to get jabbed and this gave them the kick up the arse needed

I’m glad they’re not enforcing the rule though. We can’t afford to lose the numbers of workers involved

It is the wrong decision, but the government can't afford to potentially lose staff.

Why‘s it the wrong decision? Why should people get a jab they don’t want for something that’s not killing people?

Have to be honest , when i was in hospital last week it never once crossed my mind about the staffs vaccination status ..
The nurse who took my bloods and another that did an ECG both told me in chatting they found it disgusting and didn't agree with it .. hopefully these fantastic people get to stay in work as they are already , vaccinated or not ..they do a great job and we need them

Apart from the fact it is killing people.

Why should people get jabs they don't want like MMR, BCG, polio, tetanus, HPV etc which are killing less people than Covid?

Oh yeah, because the reason they're not killing as many people is because we're making sure people are vaccinated against them.

When you go to parents day does it cross your mind to check the teachers' DBS status? Or does it not cross your mind cos you expect the school will have done it for you as a duty of care to ensure their safety?

Never tbh , either way , it looks as though sanity will prevail .. as much as a few on here may not like it .

You are always free to ask for their vaccination status and then decline their care if it doesn't fit your opinion

I reckon in an emergency , it wouldn't even cross your mind

Of course it wouldn't cross my mind in an emergency. In an absolute emergency I wouldn't care if the person walking past had any medical or first aid training at all. I'd just want someone to help.

Shows how delicately balanced the NHS is. I think I read somewhere that the NHS employs 1.4 million people and it was going to collapse if 80000 suddenly lost their job.

Well the ward I was in last weekend had 1 nurse dealing with 51 patients for some 5 or 6 hours

I work in the NHS & I've never once been forced or coerced into taking any other jab

How many pandemics have you worked through?

If you worked with people vulnerable to a disease you’d have needed vaccinations. Now it’s a pandemic everyone’s vulnerable.

That it either can't be or won't be recovered is unbelievable and would result in a sacking for even junior management. The fact that that inability to recover was probably deliberate so their mate's could keep the cash just makes your blood boil.

The paying inflated prices one is bad on two fronts, bad enough that they were dishing out contracts to their mates but even if you justify that as an emergency situation the pandemic planning exercise they did a few years ago highlight a lack of PPE and should therefore have been sorted at that point rather than waiting until prices went through the roof.

It's a sad state of affairs when tens of thousands of people entrusted with safeguarding the health of others have raised the middle finger to doing something that would enhance it. But it's simply too many people collectivising their selfishness and stupidity

It‘s their basic human rights not to have it though for whatever reason they chose - funny how the mainstream media hardly mentioned the ending of the mandates either - hope all the careworkers get their jobs back too
Dunno why people have to constantly interfere & stick their beak into what other people are choosing

Got to be honest, I’m not seeing “infect people” in the list of human rights. But why do you care about human rights anyway? Bunch of dogooders sticking their beak in, no?

Also not sure how mainstream you’re looking for but it was headline news of R4 the last couple of days.

The most basic human right is the right to life. If you have people who are the most vulnerable in your care and your TikTok science beliefs mean you won’t take a jab to increase their safety it doesn’t say much.

Simply too many people were being selfish to be dismissed.

Imagine kicking off about NHS staff (who by the way are there to care for us, save our lives, look after our loved ones) not being sacked for personal choice

Some strange people on here.

If i had a cardiac i couldnt give 2 fucks if the person attempting to save my life had a vaccine, or was into shagging cats, or shoplifted some cheese.

Fuck me, unreal what im seeing here

I'd be upset if my 85 year old Mother in Law went in for for her 6 monthly check up for hers eyes and came home with the virus.

Unless of course the unvaccinated person had covid and then gave you a stronger dose of it than if they had been vaccinated which caused you to die ;)

If you become a medical professional you should by definition do everything to help the people you treat and being vaccinated against covid is definitely one of those things (as is vaccination against other diseases)

If someone personally choose to ignore the advice and research of their peers then you probably don't want to be medically treated by them
