How do you even begin to try and get inside this guy’s mind?
I’ve given up trying to work it out, I don’t think anyone knows, just taking one day at a time. It feels like this has been going on for months already- got to be the longest fortnight mentally I’ve ever known. Even the fortnight before the cup final didn’t feel as tense as thisSo it’s at least 3-6 months possibly longer? I didn’t see it I’m just trying to clarify how it should be interpreted.

I don’t mean anyone I genuinely didn’t see that part of the press conference! Just bemused at how people are arguing over how her words should be interpreted.

How's that working out?At least we can elect and scrutinise our government without fear of our family been sent to correction centres
If it happensRegardless of what happens Brexit will most certainly be delayed.
Dr Faucci predicting 100 to 200 thousand dead in the USA. That's brutal.
Especially in SunderlandEven in 40 years there will still be those so obsessed with the EU that they’ll still be ranting about it.
Over timeCurrently or over time?
It doesn’t suggest France are lying about deaths it says they don’t include care home deaths. If that’s their methodology and known then it seems to be the opposite of lying?
Maybe you shouldn’t be criticising European countries for the way they’ve handled the crises. Seeing as you’ll allow no criticism of our government and that you ridiculed those countries for going into lockdown last week when we followed days later.

Why do people have to lie about what the government says or advisors say? Dr Harries clarified what she said, that the 3 to 6 month period would be when they know how much effect the restriction measures would gave.
How's that working out?
Dr Faucci predicting 100 to 200 thousand dead in the USA. That's brutal.
Predictions mean fuck all, The original predictions for the UK death rate was around 500,000. That was later downgraded to 20,000. And according to today’s press, it’s been downgraded again to 5700, The only truth is, that Everyman and his dog has a different prediction, and governments tend to act on “worse case scenarios” for fear of facing a political backlash led by the press.Dr Faucci predicting 100 to 200 thousand dead in the USA. (No doubt the BBC would relish any chance to stick the knife into Boris)
The Brexit fiasco and the prediction of immediate collapse should show everyone that so called experts know very little.
Personally, I haven't got a clue how many might die, and while every death is tragic, I feel the impact will be far less than the “experts” predict. (Time will tell)
If the death rate is less than seasonal flu, then should we have lock down every winter? Or will history show that we have over reacted. And how long will the public tolerate lockdown? So far people have tolerated it well, but it’s only week 1. Also the long term effects on the economy, interest rates, job losses, family life, etc will be massive, Tax rises of some extent will be forthcoming,
and we may find the austerity measures of resent years will look like a walk in the park with what is to come.
It will certainly be interesting to see how this plays out.
I can’t help wondering if all those who are praising Boris and his chancellor now, for their decisive action, will be quite as understandable when the treasury wants its cash back.
Eu countries are going their own ways. There was an Eu pandemic committee which fell apart as there was no consistent approach at all to the crises and it rapidly became survival of the fittest. Have Sweden locked down at all yet?
They've ignored advice at every turn
Their first recorded case was the same day as South Korea
Look at how the two countries have responded. They're fucked. A lot of good people are going to die unnecessarily.
100k dead there is equivalent to 20k hereDr Faucci predicting 100 to 200 thousand dead in the USA. That's brutal.
So nothing in their about France lying then?
So now you’re criticising the EU for not having a consistent approach? It’s almost like they work on a collaborative basis and if members don’t agree they don’t do something. If the council had tried to force a consistent approach you’d be calling them authoritarian.

Sounds like the Tories in the UK, look at the likes of Cummings and that tosspot he hired.Trump has been totally negligent.
If he gets elected after this then his claim that he could shoot someone and people would still vote for him will be vindicated.
He is an absolute moron whose attitude is killing people.
95 year old Neighbour says of the Virus " Its like living through Blitz You know the bombs are coming but you don't know which fucking house they are going to hit!" and compares the people who ignore the advice like the ones in the war who did not go into the shelters cos they thought it will not be them.

Im merely quoting the Guardian - it made a comment regarding France not me
You didn’t quote though you stated the article said something it did not just because you hate the EU and it’s members.

Low end too. Could be 1.5mDr Faucci predicting 100 to 200 thousand dead in the USA. That's brutal.
I think he will be shown to have displayed a particular level of negligence.
When this is done and the inquests are completed there no doubt that every country will hilights things they could have done different which would have saved more lives but I don't 5hink there will be anything on the level of the US.
It’s every other country apart from U.K. and USA funnily enough. And you’ll never change his mind- he’ll keep trawling the internet for every tidbit he can find that hints at problems in other countries.
