But Corbyn/McDonnell and some his/their policies might’ve been right for sections of the party but they weren’t for the country...that’s probably more of a fact
There’s probably no point getting into a political debate about choices as it’s irrelevant for another few years but the sooner labour picks someone (with the right policies) that offers something that’s attractive for the whole country (not just the party or sections of the party) the sooner we get a proper opposition which is better for everyone

A quick example, both parties announced broadband plans that according to experts were undeliverable.
One plan got massive scrutiny, one hardly got a mention. When you're giving the sitting government that much leeway you're on thin ice.
Look at the stunt Johnson's mate Orban has just pulled in Hungary. He's turned the country into a dictatorship. He used a compliant cherry picked media to do it.

UK aiming for 100,000 tests a day

The UK is aiming to carry out 100,000 tests for coronavirus a day in "a small number of weeks," according to Prof Paul Cosford, emeritus medical director of Public Health England.
Currently there is capacity for 12,750 daily tests. As of 09:00 BST on Wednesday, 152,979 people in the UK had been tested.
Prof Cosford told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “Everybody involved is frustrated that we haven’t yet got to the position that we need to get to (on testing)."
Asked why other testing facilities in the country were not being used, Prof Cosford said Public Health England was looking at how it could use all the country's laboratories "to boost up at least 100,000 tests a day, hopefully more”.
He added that he would expect this work to be in place “over the coming days and a small number of weeks”.

I don’t think it would be badly received if a scheme involved using insurance. The issue will be that if this government went down this route they will be accused of a two tier system.
