I’ve never noticed you on this forum before. And when I do notice people it’s for a particular reason. You are dribblingly positive coronavirus bloke.
That's cool I've really noticed you before so we have something in common.

Fuck knows mate this is such a mess ahh!

How can you see it panning out in the end?
Everything will go back to normal. The worlds population will be tens of thousands less, a vaccine will be developed and then everyone will forget about it until the next pandemic in 10, 20 (insert your own number here) years time!!

Listening to BBC 5 earlier and they said lots of players were approaching the players union stating they completely disagree with having to carry on playing.
Who do these players think they are, they go to work (hmm) with a group of
equally well rewarded and physically fit individuals ‘who could no doubt beat
this virus standing on their heads.
Most of the folk who pay to watch them every week will be forced to go to
Work in factories, offices, shops, pubs, transport etc ‘and many of those
Will already suffer with underlying health issues that will make the virus
More problematic should they catch it.

I would think the A&E is one of the worst places to be because some people dot take any notice of what to do if you have got the symptoms of Corona. It will be heaving with them

Hopefully phe have got it right. There will be lots of cases, you will see steeper rises and sadly people will die but there are good signs we can stop it falling off a cliff like Italy. If not then we lock down.

The issue with lock downs and forced interventions is public fatigue in them. There is a school of thought that in the spanish flu pandemic forced measures enacted to early killed more people.

Apologies if already posted elsewhere - not a short article but the author puts forward some quite compelling numbers on the need for social distancing sooner rather than later...

This interview is quite troubling. The interviewee is an expert in contagious disease and wrote a book a few years ago predicting this virus.

Amongst other things, he reckons we haven't seen anything yet and as soon as the Chinese people come out of isolation the virus wil sky rocket again, so their apparent recovery is misleading.

It's believed to be 10-15 times deadlier than the flu amongst experts.

Estimates of around 500,000 deaths in the coming months.

Hand sanitisers probably don't work to prevent this virus. Breathing is all it takes to get infected.

Mikel Arteta just tested positive. Will be stunned if the Arsenal game is played at the weekend.

Just last night they were saying games were going ahead. Things are falling apart quickly and the situation is changing by the hour.

The season won't be voided ffs. There's only 10 games left.

Give us the title and be done with it.

I know you say that, Mark and I have always been in complete agreement with you, but now we are hearing that in the Premier there is talk of voiding the season and the same too in Germany, it does suddenly become a real concern.

I think it would be madness to do so, but it seems it is most certainly something being considered.

Just think of the amount of clubs that would benefit from voiding the season? They will all be very vocal.

Imagine if we were struggling to stay up? We'd be well up for a bit of voidage.

It's definitely a real concern.

Why oh why did they tell people they’d modelled an 80% infection rate? It’s NOT going to happen. Does anyone seriously believe they’d let it get to the stage where 48 MILLION people were infected? Utter nonsense.

“Suffering from a national pandemic? Just say “no” “

Everyone seems to have an opinion on what will happen but there must be something in the rules on ending season early in the event of an emergency, war etc? Has anyone looked into it?

Callum Hudson-Odoi now confirmed and Chelsea are in isolation as a result. Talk that this morning they may well cancel all Premier games this weekend.

It’s a fast moving thing isn’t it , only a few days ago on this thread people were Talking
like it was being massively hyped and was basically a bad cold, the rhetoric on here
Has massively changed.
How bad do you think it would have to get here to bring the NHS to its knees ?
I don’t think it would have to be catastrophic levels for this to be the case.

It’s the stiff upper lip...the attitude that is really hope above reality.

I think the NHS will be worst hit where communities gather for worship, have large friendship groups in the first instance. That will fill the beds.

I hope I'm wrong but I think this season is going to be written off, as more players and staff will confirm they have the virus.

In Britain or worldwide?
