The website is still live and our social media pages have about 5k followers on most main platforms.

Last content was posted about two years ago though. Also the guy I did it with have some access to this dj group in Berlin, but they just sit on it and promote their own events from time to time.
Did you do any kind of affiliate marketing with it? Sounds like it has a lot of potential.

So apparently the government are going to stop doing the country comparison slides in their daily briefings.

They are nothing if not cowardly.

Perfectly happy to show them when we were lower than our neighbours.

Then when we passed them it was 'actually it's not easy to compare countries'

Now it's just 'brush it under the carpet'

Shameless c***s.

Oh and another clarification was needed after Boris spouted more shite that just pops into his head:

Just saw a stat if you add furloughed and public sector workers together you’ve now got 49% of all employees being paid by the state!

I wonder what the reaction would be from some here if we had a labour government enacting the exact same polices...

The government is acting like some random twitter user who was happy to point out how Italy's government was failing the people and had let things get out of control but now says you can't compare countries and Italy's figures are wrong anyway.

Its embarrassing. Really hope there is a proper investigation into the handling of this but I don't hold out much hope.

More than Greece’s entire total

Seemingly about 4 weeks behind Italy, which suggests its slowing at a slower rate as we were two weeks behind at one point. Looks like we could be 5-6 weeks away from opening up at best. Italy went into lockdown 2.5 weeks before us.

So the great plan to avoid lockdown for economic gain will have meant more lockdown and more deaths. Fantastic.

Hospital deaths or all deaths including care homes and community ?

It says all settings but then doesn’t seem to include the 10k care home deaths they recently announced in the overall total. So maybe the daily figure is all settings and the total is still hospitals? Who knows at this point?

Think I’m going to have to bid farewell to another holiday and another £300 odd in flights

Starmer is going to forensically pick Johnson apart and it's going to be amusing watching him flounder like a stuck pig.
I think the new format without the baying crowds exposes Johnson massively.

It's similar to the great austerity plan which sucked what life there was out of the economy. Tories really are thick dogmatic twats.

Oh god imagine the crowing about having the first BAME PM. Considering annoying lefties is their most consistent political belief these days I think they’ll go Sunak for that reason alone.

To be honest I’d take it. Not a fan of changing PMs without an election and it’s be the third time in a row the public have elected a PM only to get a different one months later, but we really do need someone better than Johnson at the helm going forwards. The recovery from this and Brexit will consume the entire life of this parliament I’d expect. Makes sense to have an economist running the show during a Parliament all about economic recovery.

I think they might choose him for the BAME background but I'm sure the economics background going into the recession will be played upon too.

Trouble is his economic thinking is very right wing, like Javid and Hunt, and would likely be austerity based and see the poor and needy shafted for the rich, because they'll "create jobs". Given that I believe a large part of why the UK and US have performed so badly in this crisis is the larger desire to protect the economy and this is the best opportunity we might have to totally realign where we going and restructure our economy and performance metrics to be fairer, cleaner and more rounded. With him in charge it'd just be return to the way it's been done before and all the pitfalls and failings that go with it.

I've said for a long long time that the schoolboy calling and jeering is a massive detriment to actually getting stuff done. Nice to see I was proved right.

Perhaps we can bring in some of the elements of online meetings? Rather than benches a load of soundproof boxes and the mics are only turned on when you're permitted to speak.

Hague flattened Blair at PMQ and was at election time a disaster - it means nothing
