Apparently it’s not going to be back to normal now by Xmas. Another Boris flip flop.

That is all to do with Eid, make no mistake. Hence the very specific advice. Oldham had a spike of cases, the council spokeswoman said 70% of them were Pakistani / Bengali.some localised lock down measures being reintroduced:

The growth in case numbers just might not be the same. There might be more to it than just Eid tbf but that looks on the face of it like the key driver, why not close pubs and restaurants?Wonder why it hasn't happened in Brum?
Cases already high there and big Muslim population.

I see Leicester is still in lockdown
Brum has 13 new cases per 100k of population and Oldham has 57 cases per 100k of population.Wonder why it hasn't happened in Brum?

Was just in a thread of Americans in another forum talking about the election and it’s impact on the virus.
It’s become so politicised over there they’re genuinely worried that if Biden wins the anti-mask anti-lockdown people will go mental. They’re refusing to wear masks when Trump tells them so when it’s a Democrat they’ll go mental.
Talking about half a million deaths potentially when it’s all over.
When did health become something you take sides over?
Yeah to say don't meet other households inside but to then not shut the pubs makes it look like they are deffo targeting the islamic community
Yeah, that's not what I want to see. That being said, Rugby has got itself under control after looking like it had potential to accelerate. It was 3.5 two weeks ago.

Also, he does have to eat and drink and put a roof over his head. He's effectively being asked to choose between that, or his health. That seems very harsh to me.
Looks like there won't be spectators now. Johnson has pulled the plug on test events and cancelled plans to ease other restrictions.Tbf he knew there would be spectators before he started qualifying rounds. Argument is that he's effectively taken away the opportunity of someone else.

Anyway, after his guff about back to normal by Christmas, I suppose I should be pleased his actions do at least have a brake pedal! That gives me a bit more confidence, at least.
Oh, and face coverings for museums - about time!!!
Does that include Goodwood,?Looks like there won't be spectators now. Johnson has pulled the plug on test events and cancelled plans to ease other restrictions.

Who knows!!!How is this all affecting your plans for the big day NW?
Who knows!!!
tbh it's been pared so back, the current things aren't an issue (they're still allowed, aren't they?)Must be so frustrating. Girl at work was due to get married, had just got excited about it again when they announced weddings were allowed again, now back into reverse.

It's getting my parents there that's the issue!!
I have no idea what’s allowed. Just saw they’ve reversed the “weddings up to 30 people” thing TBH.
