4,700 new case though :/

Here's hoping you're on the down curve regarding deaths now!

Where’s this data from? Looking at worldometer it was over 5k yesterday so that’d be the second day of reduced cases as well. Looking a lot like the peak. I wonder what the plan is when it’s back down to manageable levels.

What I mean is, every new case is a potential death. 0 new cases, everything will start calming down.

The deaths is from the live updates from the health ministry.
The restrictions that we have now have been implemented over a couple of weeks, so I imagine that they will reverse them slowly and see how it goes. I am not expecting to be back going to work in a normal way until mid May at the earliest.

We have fallen behind the Italian curve at 335 deaths vs Italy at 463 on the equivalent day - 14 days after the first fatality. 54 new deaths and I honestly expected us to be on or very near 3 figures for 24 hours.

A very small light in a dark dark tunnel.

I was thinking earlier I haven't seen or heard any adverts on TV or radio either. They managed it with Brexit so why not this?

The big worry from that table is the us. So many new cases an medical system that even with some of the best doctors and hospitals is painfully not set up to cope with even a milder pandemic

On the local news (where I am) Londoners moaning about how upset they'd be if the park was closed. Special kind of wanker down here.

Why do they ?
Depends on your prejudice I suppose .
After all we and the USA have no idea how many are running around with it.
