I don't think we should change the manager but 3 wins in 15 is unacceptable, and Mowbray and players must accept their portion of blame and criticism.

It's clearly going a bit wonky at the moment, I'm still happy with him though.

Between himself and Venus they've signed some good players, the work they did last summer with recruitment was top notch to rebuild the squad. Given another summer, I think they can build on that again and hoping to come back stronger for it.

I think given time they can build something good for many years to come, tactically he can be a bit stubborn and I think he does overdo the rotation of the midfield players but I can see signs of some sort of logical thought process and plan behind what he does as opposed to the usual rolling of the dice we got before.

Agreed.

At what point would it be considered ?, 3 wins out of 20 ?, meaning he has 5 games to save his job ?

No of course he shouldn't be sacked who is better out there, we would probably end up with Anderson managing the team getting his ideas from some book.

All the behind the scenes crap is bound to affect form on the pitch. The Maddison sale, the wide player he wanted but had no budget. The court cases, the ground issue etc. Can't see TM getting sacked, more likely to walk at the end of the season if we don't make play offs.

Hasn't this happened before a couple of times for Mowbray where he's failed to make the play offs having led the league at one point? Sure I heard it somewhere on here before. I'm thankful for having had the likes of Armstrong and Joe Cole play for us this year.. thats down to TM and MV but this run is appalling. Would a change of manager save our season.. it wouldn't get any worse than it currently is. Do I want a new manager? no

Yes twice with Middlesbrough top at Xmas then failed to reach the playoffs.
Like he gives up when the pressure is on.

And if that is the case that is totally unacceptable. Totally!

If it's happened twice before and it's happening again that's one hell of a chink in his armour.

I've not wanted him sacked, but if this happens again now this season, how on earth are we going to trust him next year if we are in the top 6? The obvious conclusion would surely be it was going to happen again.

We've all heard of once bitten, twice shy, but thrice?

He needs to seriously look back as to what went wrong before and put some strategy in place now to make sure this doesn't happen again this time!

If it happens again this time, then he's surely not the man to take us out of this division is he?

Bury were poor. We simply cannot forget that. First two goals were terrible marking and their keeper was awful.

The new manager bounce effect usually comes from previously demoralised players getting a new lease of life and a fresh chance to impress. Being as most of them are not ours or out of contracting not sure this would work.

And who is? It seems that we don't learn from our history. How many managers have we had, poor run panic, dumped, start again. Changing your manager every year doesn't work. At Christmas Mowbray was a genius now he is in danger of becoming a failure according to some. Not enough passion shown? Surely a measured, thoughtful response is far better than the hot air produced by some managers (Pressley, "they won't play for this club again" after Worcester) that means nothing. Doesn't criticise the team? Surely better to talk to players about poor performances one to one than to do it in the media. Things he was praised for when we were winning he is now criticised for as we are losing. He can't win. No wonder he kept his home up in Middlesborough! Crazy! We have a good manager who knows what he is doing. For once, give him the chance to see things through.

If he knows what he is doing why is history seemingly repeating itself?

Personally, I have never, ever said I want him sacked. I have really rated him, but if he keeps making the same serious mistakes it is only right and propper to debate the issue.

Three wins, one draw out of 5 since we played them. Their fans calling for the managers head after we beat them. Otis, who would you get that is better than TM? Do you think the model of a new manager every 12 to 18 months works?

If it's being debated then the option of getting rid of him is clearly in some people's minds. How can he go from being so good to so bad in the space of two months? If we are looking at his History we could focus at how well hen did at Hibs and how there was no slump at WBA as he got them promoted to the PL. To even have the conversation about sacking him is madness. I am sure he would despair at the comments he would read if he came on here.

Just thinking of crazy decisions made in the past. Sillett replaced by Butcher, Black replaced by Reid even Milne replaced by Sexton was a poor move in my view. Even to consider replacing TM is mad.

As I have said before on several threads discussing the same thing he deserves to be given the whole season without a doubt.

However with the depth of squad/squad budget compared to others and league position for most of season if we do not finish
in top six it is a complete failure no doubt about it. TM will admit it himself and will not see it as progress as some posters
seem to be adding. Make no mistake this was a focused season aim and investment to achieve promotion this season.
TM had the luxury of being able to completely sweep the decks as many wasters were out of contract and he formed his own squad through purchases and use of loan market.......this is not a long term strategy!!! Next year most loans will go back to parent clubs or elsewhere on loan. Some players will be out of contract. We will be starting again make no mistake and teams coming down from Championship will be stronger too.

As someone has already said if we do not make play offs we may not need to sack TM he may walk.

I've got this feeling TM has already made his mind up to walk at the end of this season. I also think he's possibly lost the dressing room too. What other excuse is there for the catastrophic run of results since mid November? This team was unbeatable three months ago ffs!

We've had the highest playing budget in L1 and yet we are seriously close to failing making the playoffs on current form
I'd give him 3 more games....
I also think there's stuff going on behind the scenes which is affecting morale

most worrying for me is the lack of passion and the lethargy from the players. We dont look like a team fighting to give the supporters their first taste of excitement in many of their ccfc supporting lives!!

Sorry Dong that's crap we are in top six this year for sure not top though.
Wigan and Millwall will have more budget due to championship earnings and Sheff Utd as bigger club
I'd have us at 4th.

Gillingham, Burton and Walsall will all definitely have lower wage bills that us.

He said it in May whilst in his capacity as Chief Execetive he was dealing with the playing budget for the club. However If you know better than him, then that is fair enough.
