Was thinking the two automatic places were long gone but watching last nights Southend v Burton game think Burton are hitting a ba patch, they have sold their top goal scorer and have a few injuries -Walsall and Gillingham are slipping- Wigan look strong but then don't beat teams you think they are going to -are injuries taking there toll Cov might pip one of those automatic spots -

As I keep saying, we need to sort our own form out first. We're on the back of a 2 game unbeaten run.

We need 4 points from the next 2 games I would say to keep the momentum going.

I think it's very possible now we've strengthened our defence and AA is back in goal scoring form. I'm excited...

I know it's take it a game at a time but,
Fleetwood home
Barnsley away
Rochdale home
Shrewsbury away
Blackpool away

I seriously think 13 points from 15 is a real possibility (this from a usual negative head) with a draw at inform Barnsley next Tuesday not being that bad a result!

Big test for the squad 5 games in 2 weeks but the size of it this is where they need to make it count!

13 points from those games would be terrific, giving us 65 points with 10 to play.

I agree. TM and MV will have been acutely aware of this and the recent transfer activity suggest that as the case. Think they have acted astutely in preparation for this period where it will begin to count.
These fixtures look pivotal to our season's outcome. Not a bad fixture list to drive on with is it? They can only kick themselves if they fail to at least secure the play off's.

I know Cole is fitter now, but can he play 5 games in 2 weeks?

Also anyone which games Armstrong misses? And will Stephens and cargill be missing too?

Isn't it Peterborough & Colchester where we might lose Arma, Stephens, and Carghill?

Wouldn't imagine so on Cole Stu.

Should be back now. Think he was only left out as a precaution last time out.

And obviously Lorentzson back and Ricketts to CB alongside Martin who is now back too, could easily fill the void of losing Cargill and Stephens.

Aren't we allowed to have the game postponed if we have more than 2 players taken for international duty or does that rule not apply to the 3rd tier (or was scrapped anyway ?) ?

All we can do is win as many games between now and the end of the season and worry about the other teams then

Glad it's not long term as I'm sure 5 games in a short period will take a toll on Ricketts.

I don't think TM has any intention of starting Cole in all 5. Think he will start in 3.

Yeah I agree with that. Could mean we struggle in the other 2 games, he was outstanding against Bury, and TM made a big thing of our only 2 wins in the last 8-9 games being down to playing cole, Maddison, Armstrong and Murphy together.

we should definitely be able to beat colchester with the reduced team, they are terrible. We will know where our season is going after the next 3 weeks need a minimum 2 points per game

Our last 6 away games, we have won one. I think a realistic target is 9 points (win at home and draw away)
