Yea me too
In fact I hope CCFC get chucked out of the league as well and also go out of existence
That would show those SISU scum
I agree, OSB, I do doubt how they can suddenly find the funds for this deal, plus more unanswered questions
I'd of chucked us out ages ago. Don't we only account for 13% (or a figure quite low) of the income ACL make, It's like if you rent out a house, I couldn't care less what happens in your life as long as I get my rent at the end of every month. If you can't pay, go and find somewhere else to live.
Just hope ACL don't cave in.
Are you taking the piss?
Not one bit, just looking at the bigger picture, once they get there hands on that stadium, how long before the club is completely stripped of every asset and left to rot? they are still hear for one reason and one reason only.
Oh dear, spoken like a true moron,
What "fan" would want Coventry not to exist !
So you would be happy for your team to be thrown out the league and then possibly face going into liquidation? I don't understand that at all. Getting our hands on the Ricoh is vital and is the only way we are ever going to break even and eventually make a profit. In the long term, it will also make us more appealing to any person interested in investing or taking over the club.
The recent way in which the club seems to be being run (this season), with the restructuring of the bonuses and finally a decent marketing department has actually been encouraging, IMO.
Why would we be thrown out of the football league? That would never happen and you know it, the football league have gone out of their way to help pompey this past couple of seasons, we would receive the same treatment, we'd swap our games to play away until a replacement ground was found. The half empty St Andrews would be chuffed to bits to get a tenant. I agree that it's vital for the Ricoh to be owned/part owned by the club, but Sisu over this past couple of years have proved to us all they shouldn't have a say in the running of such a vital asset for the city.
He didn't say he was happy, he said that's what he would do if he was ACL i their shoes. At least that's how I interpreted it, and if I was them ( and not a city fan I'd do the same ).So you would be happy for your team to be thrown out the league and then possibly face going into liquidation? Why would we not get thrown out the league? No ground, nowhere to play home games, no guarantee can fulfill fixtures = get out the league.
hallelujahI think he was humoring the post he was replying to, not being serious.
If we can't fulfil our fixtures, what do you think will happen?
Why would pompey not get thrown out the league? No players, No money, no guarantee can full fixtures = oh look, preparing for a game tomorrow with their new players.
You just said they had no players?
Being locked out your ground would be tragic.
As awful as it would be, could anyone here really blame them? SISU have refused to pay rent, leaving ACL out of pocket. If anyone of us here rented a flat out and they stopped paying you'd do the same thing.
Having no players is a bigger problem then no ground, We're surrounded by grounds and it'd be next to no time in resolving the issue.
It's very rarely Blues & Villa play at home on the same weekend, so we could easily move our games to sunday at St Andrews, We could easily move all our games to Sunday and play at Leicester. When leicester are on for a sunday match, we'll play Saturday. It's not as big a problem as people are making out.

The house analogy doesn't apply as we are the only available tenants.
Got it all figured out then? Except, we can't afford, or choose not to pay, the rent on our own ground so why would a) we pay for it anywhere else and b) people trust us?
Exactly. What a joke and it's reduced revenue tad some fans will not travel. Another well thought out "cunning plan"
I'm surprised by the defeatist attitude on here. We can afford the rent, we are holding it due to Sisu deeming 100k a month too high. I haven't got it worked out and never claimed I did, I'm just offering a potential solution. I'm sure if we found a local ground that we could share would be more then happy for us to help pay the bills, people don't have to trust us to do business with us, everything paid up front.
It would be terrible, but there's always a solution, trust does count for a lot, but if everything is paid up front, trust can go out the window.
I just think ACL need to stand firm,
Who put us in this situation (league one) to start? Sisu?
Why should ACL pick up the tab for Sisu running us into the ground?
Why should ACL put up with what is pritty much Black mailing?
Sometimes you just need to take a stand and say NO!
spot on. if sisu think the fans will back them on this then they have it very wrong. if it comes to it i would support acl in any actions to stop us playing at the ricoh, where would sisu go then?
Well they should of invested in the squad, kept us in the championship, then they could afford it. I can't believe people are still sticking up for these out of town chancers. feck me,where's your loyalty.
