OK, OK, not CCC but its next door neighbour.

There's a certain paragraph that interested me ;)

greater opportunities for people outside of Warwick and Warwickshire to inform, engage, and participate with our heritage via our online gateway.

Yeah...

Anyway, apologies for the interruption, but as this involves people close to me and they depend on its success... there's a little website here: http://www.ourwarwickshire.org.uk/ that's just itching for contributions. History, memories, comments... go ahead punk, make our day ;) I just know some of you have some old photos and memories of the area that you'd love to share so please, do so!

Oh yeah, there's a twitter account needs followers too. @OurWarwickshire You know it makes sense!

(Apologies to Nick for the interruption. Normal service will be resumed soon!)

Some interesting stuff on there, particularly liked the RAF Gaydon articles.

Lived in Gaydon til I was about 7, and there was no school in the village then, so had to go to the school on the base.

Did win second prize in an art competition there at one of the final airshows, however there were only two entrants!

Still have the certificate!

THis is a good site too:

My brother used to go to school at the airfield in the mid 70's temporarily when they closed Southam High school for refurb. I used to go there with my Dad in the 70's too to watch sidecar racing and the like. Bloody boring it was.
