What are we all expecting them to say?

I'm not expecting a lot, I reckon they will continue to play the blame game and put it all back on Sisu.

Nothing. Blame SISU, fans lap it up, back to square one.

I'd hope it is something constructive.

I expect it will be "drop the legals, sisu's fault" and followed by loads of strange accounts on the internet going into overdrive.

I'm hoping that they come back with something positive and things can move forward. I fear it will just be the usual 'look at SISU' type statement.

I hope it's constructive, but I can see it being the opposite.

Its an important moment in the future of CCFC.

I don't think they would have anticipated such a lengthy SISU draft and I suspect they were working through the night to defend their position, especially around the breaking of the lease by SISU and the shortfall of options available to the council with an declining value of an asset without a tenant.

Any examples of these? Are you talking twitter/Facebook/this forum?

something along the lines of:

We are willing to work with Sisu only when legals are dropped, They have no evidence that CCC have blocked any move to another site apart from surveys that dont support a football stadium being built in a certain area.
SISU have asked CCC to fund part of the stadium and CCC are not going to put public money into the hands of SISU who do not have the trust of CCC and the local community .

I would advise them not to get into that. Just more ammo for SISU to try to find ways to sue them. besides, it wouldn't be helpful at this stage.

I would advise the Council not to mention the shady stuff they've done to shaft the club. No one cares about that. Keep the focus on SISU.

Opportunity by CCC to end the legals by working with SISU to find a suitable peice of land in Coventry that would support a stadium and regenerate another part of the city if you ask me. They obviously cannot make a full blown committment on a decision right now! but can show good faith in the idea and not as George Duggins did and block a ground share with BPA! in fact the stadium should be built as a sports venue & Hotel for CCFC & CRFC and not a glorified shopping centre as well so that the council can develope the Butts area which needs to be Regenerated. The money from selling the Butts Park arena to developement could go a long way to getting it on the road and Courting a Top Hotel Chain and Top Sponsor would hopefully generate enough funds to build it. Then the ownership could be CCFC CRFC & CCC (or a new company to protect the council alla ACL type)

' we have been advised by our legal representatives not to make comment on this matter while court action is ongoing. We do however take objection to some of the points raised by sisu and believe many are demonstrably untrue. We are committed to having the football club in the community it belongs and the first step towards this is for sisu to drop the spurious legal action which is endangering the club's future'

You really should keep up torch. SISU have already done that.

My comment was aimed at trying to keep the statements and the meeting on the important point of seeing if a deal could be done for CCFC, and not get weighed down by arguing about the history, but you clearly don't care about that. I imagine you're too busy drooling over their statement to post anything sensible.

What staggers me is that The Council secretly sold the Ricoh to Wasps without telling anyone or even giving SISU the chance to at least match their offer!

This is why they're councillors and not businessmen/women. Should be looking for the best deal for the city and not trying to piss off certain individuals for whatever reason.

One question I would love to know is - who approached who? Did the council approach Wasps first?

Insane decision that seems driven by either spite or corruption.

I thought SISU told the council they were not interested and were going to build there own stadium? They are just pissed off that their evil plan to get it for next to nothing failed. Why should the council offer it to them at the same price when SISU were clear that they did not want the ground and had other plans?

There is information in the judgement for JR2.

Because its the sensible thing to do to get the best price for the tax payer! Thats why.
