Brilliant but what’s the point of a sport with no promotion.

Have really only gotten into Rugby the past couple of seasons and a professional team is coming near me starting next month(WIll be based in Charlotte NC).

Anyway, would be cool to watch Coventry Rugby; is there a way to do that online? Or at least listen to the games? Or will just have to settle with checking the score and/or highlights?

Cheers.

Think there might be via the internet on CWR?

Would love Donny to do Ealing next week but can’t see it. It’s a free Saturday so might go and watch the mighty Cov. Just might be out of practice with the 3 songs

1. C’mon Cov
2. Coooovvveeeeennnttttrrrrrrryyyyyy long pause Cooooovvveeeennntttrrryyy
3. Heavo Cov (used for scrums)

Nope…. I’m all good

Yeah, rugby doesn't really 'do' songs, eh? Still, get four or five thousand Cov fans together and it can get quite noisy.

I was a bit annoyed that the Ampthill game was called off. It would have been just like them to turn Ealing over, which would've made things even more interesting.

An excellent 12-27 win up at Doncaster.
Just a shame they've let some silly points slip this season as they should be clear in second instead of third by the slimmest possible margin.
Huge game to come against Ealing next. Very tough, but you never know with this lot.
We still go up now and again, its a good day out but cant pretend im not disillusioned with the shitty situation regarding possible progression in terms of Promotion and funding 😡

It's an utterly ridiculous situation, agreed. But... Ah eff You.
Arseholes to a man (and woman).

34-32 with a couple of minutes to go!
It was a yellow 10 minutes sin bin for Cov's Tom Ball, during which Cov conceded a try.
A tale of missed kicks. Had Ealing converted all theirs they'd have finished on 42, and if Cov had taken all there's they'd have got 43, so all is good!
Ealing should be ashamed though. On their budget it's the equivalent of City rolling over Leicester City :)

Any idea what the attendance was? Those daft couple of losses earlier in the season are hard to fathom given how they performed yesterday . Well done Cov

Next match is at Hartpury, who are in an excellent patch of form (culminating in a very unusual 3-0 win at Nottingham on Friday evening).
The Alpas is always a tough place to go, but much depends on how many Prem loanees Hartpury put out - usually many - and if Cov can carry this level of performance on.
Second place is doable this term, notwithstanding Pirates being in the driving seat for it. It's just a shame Cov lost some that they really should have won, and if they had, they'd be breathing right down Ealing's neck by now.

Losing to Apthill twice was poor otherwise yes could of had a chance of winning the league

Only once, at theirs. Cov beat them convincingly at home.
Perhaps you are thinking Hartpury at home, or at Caldy? And they are good enough to have beaten Pirates too.
But too late to cry now.

The home game in December Cov got spanked 27-49
It was one of those games where you don't play too badly, concede sloppily, spend half the game increasingly chasing it, and generally fck up big style.
It happens in both our sports - there are plenty of examples.
Almost more annoying are the narrow defeats against Caldy and Pirates where pragmatism (or the lack of) just generally failed them.
Hopefully lessons have been taken on board.

Not a bad start to the weekend with Cov seeing off Bedford by 54-19.
Still top of the current form table on seven consecutive wins, but second to Ealing overall. Just a shame a couple of silly results earlier on rather derailed a title challenge.

All down to the City now to make the weekend one to remember.
