Exactly that. It's a fait accompli - all that CRFC can do now is try to make the best of it.
It's still a bit supine for my taste. In all honesty (even as a fan) I won't be going back up there as often if all I'm going to be doing is cheering on a team who's only ambition can be to achieve the second level of rugby with a few players borrowed from the franchise up the road.
Because as Duffer pointed out, it's a fait accompli. CCC didn't consult with either CRFC or CCFC it seems. It's a done deal. They've also said it would be a "betrayal".

'It seems' is as far as some can guess. But what we do know for sure is that SISU are not interested in the lease. And I would guess that if Joy didn't know as 'it seems' she would have said so instead of just saying that they are not interested.
I don't hear a great deal from wasps fans.
A 'we will not oppose it from the owners of CRC.'
I have to say, if there are really not happy they should be saying they at least oppose it.
They just seemed miffed they are not properly in the loop, as oppose to outraged it is happening.
Have a look at Brian Moores timeline on Twitter and you'll realise what a daft comment that is.
Also on his timeline is a tweet from the illustrious Councillor Kevin Maton who whole heartedly supports Franchise sport. Goes to show just how conniving and hypocritical some of the Coventry City Councillors are.

In an interview with The Telegraph, the club’s life president Peter Rossborough expressed his frustration over the lack of consultation ahead of the proposed takeover but said he had no complaint with the way Wasps have behaved.
He said: “We have tried very hard to get to see the city council and talk to people about this and they said they had asked Wasps to speak to us so we are very frustrated. “I have got no complaint about Wasps however. They have spoken to us and have been businesslike but also gentlemen so we have got no problem with them. “We are still trying to find out what the position is and I know Coventry City Football Club share our concerns.

I think they will regret the supportive comments when their fans start moving to watch Wasps and European rugby. Isnt this like Man city moving to Coventry and expecting all our our fans to stay loyal??
