Am I right in saying we snatched a pretty dull victory at home against these last season and it did seem to sort us out a bit - I hope the same happens again
Yes, 1-0. Haji scored a header off a rebound (either a save or someone hit the crossbar).

The difference being, we had leadership then, albeit veterans like Fadz, Kelly and Godden who weren’t getting much playing time.

Nevertheless, a scrappy 1-0 via a shot that takes 3 deflections and trickles over the line, will do for me.

I'll take a scrappy win as long as the players put up some sort of fight and string a few passes together. Eustace clearly knows how to organise a team, something we've lacked for some time now.
Play badly and lose again and the unthinkable could soon be a reality regarding Robins.

I think I'd play

Dovin

MVE Thomas (only really because of a lack of alternatives) Binks JDS

Torp Eccles
Rudoni

Sakamoto BTA Wright

Sheaf doesn't look ready to start from what I've seen. Simms confidence now shattered so let's give BTA a go up top.

read so many formation, and variations of squads, clearly we dont know whats best

Id also want robins to pick an 11, and formation and just stick with it every game, and get the team playing one style/one formation and just work on it.

its like were changing so much very game, hoping itll come good somehow.

We have to stop conceding. Would be over the moon with 0-0 at 60 mins and the ability to bring on Rudi, Milan, Simms and EMC.

I swear the club just try to wind the fans up sometimes.

Just posted on social media: 'Working into our midweek fixture'. Then it's just a clip of a motionless mannequin with a bib on.
Sounds accurate though, judging by the performances.

I expect us to start strong. We need to score in the first 30 mins or so else it could turn into a fizzle and fans getting on their backs.

Back to the closest we have to proven for me and stick with it for at least the next five come hell or high water.

Dovin
MvE Thomas Kitching Dasilva
Eccles Sheaf Rudoni
Saka Simms Wright

S: Wilson, Lats, Binks, Bidwell, Torp, BTA, Bassette, EMC, Andrews.

Have them in working on patterns and shape with that side every day. High work rate with plenty to come on if they tire in game. Hard work is the only way out of this.

Agree with this

If i was Robins id match Blackburn up and tell players to win individual battles and earn the right to play. If you give them that responsibility you will see who truly is downing tools or if its just that they don't understand as a team what was being asked of them.

Coaching is simple if you know the issue, looking at the 1st 7 games Robins and his staff are plugging a gap only for something to spring a leak in an other area. Get smart, find your leak and keep the players in who perform. Its only my opinion Robins but his staff cant see the wood for the trees at the minute and as a coach that is the worst position to be in. You need to go back to what you know works with those you know can do it, not create or ask players to do things they are not good at, enforce the positive not enhance the negative. Palmer was a perfect example, not excepting what he brought just stating the failings he had. We need to be solid and grind a horrible result out to gain confidence and repeat the process before being and thinking more progressively.

With that said i think Robins thinks completely differently. He plays one way and thinks by being solid and going back is certainly not the way forward. And he will certainly die on the hill he stands on without regret. That i admire, but sometimes bending your principles is better than breaking them, i hope Robins decides to bend because the alternative leaves us no better off and worse off without Robins

If you offered me a 0-0 I'd take it, which is tragic considering the fanfare pre season.

I'd LOVE a clean sheet for once but can't see it, we lack any organization or steel when it comes to defending. The play off final season was built on being hard to beat and not conceding goals, that was down to experienced leadership in the side (Not Ben Wilson).

I can't see anything other than a Blackburn win tomorrow, sadly.

Going 1-2.

We need to start quickly and score early but then push on and not sit back, even at the kick off we should be looking to move the ball forwards quickly our centre backs aren’t that comfortable with the ball so stop giving it to them so much. Also he had his fun in picking Wilson now get the real keeper back in.

Worried the crowd could really turn on the team tomorrow. Go 1-0 down, especially first half and it could get ugly.

If we fail to win either of these home games we’re really in dire straits.

Going to be a really tough evening tomorrow, I feel.

We go into the game off the back of a convincing defeat, they come in from an equally convincing victory (based on stats, anyway).

There are only one group who can make it a happy place and that’s the players if they don’t want booing perform.

I don't think they would let you play.

I'm pretty pessimistic about tomorrow night given the contrasting fortunes of both teams.
I really hope we play well with a high energy display. I'm slightly concerned that if Kitching plays he'll get sent off.
I'd take a scrappy 1-0 win now or even a draw.

It's time for the graph unless it's earlier in the thread, Where are Saddle and Gimoc, strangely silent?
