Stood on the hill at Northampton too many times fearing where my beloved team were heading . Will be an awfully long time before I sharpen the knife towards the man who has given me more pride and joy in my club in the following years .
Expectations and entitlement are a dangerous marriage and I'm guilty every season but however despondent I feel Robins has earned time and trust from us all
Should pin this up in the changing room so the players can read it, spot on mate, 👍

It's always sounds a bit dramatic to say it's a must win game in October, but it almost has that feel about it.

I fear it'll be a poor turn out tonight - actual turn out rather than published - usual dip for night games, general mood, televised, shit weather, road closures - lots of reasons people with give for giving it a swerve. Got to back them tonight though, a positive result could be pivotal.

100%

We (the supporters) need to do the opposite of what we are doing at the moment.

We need to lift the roof off the arena tonight, we've got 2 massive home games this week, and we ALL need to get behind MR and the team for the entire 90+ minutes.

Let's shock our own players with the volume and atmosphere we can create, and give them no excuses.

Oh dear, I’ve not seen so many ‘family stand’ tickets being dumped as for this match. Lots of other blocks with seats for sale…..I fear the bubble has burst a bit 😕

At the moment I’m not sure what our strongest 11 is.

I’d certainly have Dovin back in and persist with Thomas and Kitching though.

Wonder how much Robins sticks with today or if he changes the shape. Issue with the shape is I don’t think it gets the best out of some of our players but also think we need to stop chopping and changing. Big decisions for Robins.

Can't see Robins taking Wilson out as it will be an admission that he made the wrong call on Saturday.

I think he'll go:

Wilson
MVE, Thomas, Binks, Bidwell
Sheaf, Rudoni, Eccles
Sakamoto, Bassette, Wright

I'd switch in Dovin for Wilson and Kitching for Binks (although not overly fussed on the latter)

That's the team I would go for as well.

Looking forward to this one tonight. Given how shit we've been my expectations are rock bottom, which is great!

It does feel like a must-win but the truth is that there is plenty of time to turn things around. A run of decent results and you can get back up the table quite quickly. That said, I'm finding it hard to work out what's wrong with the team at the moment. I keep thinking it must be the midfield but individually they're ot playing that badly. I have been very impressed with Eccles' performances and Rudoni seems lievly generally, Sheaf getting back up to speed.

That team is about right for me, although I would have Kitching for Binks.

Amazed so many have Bidwell in TBH. I think he’s been dreadful this season and Dasilva has performed well whenever he’s come on. I think both fullbacks need a flatter midfield for protection, but especially the left with Wright ahead of them.
Weirdly could we try Wright up front again with Mason Clark on the left. Would help the left sided defenders.

players being scared of their own fans is not a recipe for success
Absolutely right...if ever there is a time for all pulling together thisis it...make them know we support them and this club come what may....for so long now when things have been on the up the supporters have been credited with being the 12th man!! Well now is the time to show up and SUPPORT... not groan and moan.... it is hard I know...but that is what real suporters do sing! and shout and cheer...help the players ...COME ON PUSB !!!

As has been said on here we have 3 players who got 50 goals between them last year

We should do what we can to have them on the pitch at the same time, whilst staying at tight as we can in the middle of the park

To get us out of this slump I would personally go 433

Dovin

Milan
Thomas
Kitching
Bidwell

Eccles
Sheaf
Torp

BTA
Simms
Wright

Can also change shape pretty easily with subs depending on how the games going. Can go 442 Bringing on Bassette for Torp.

4231 bringing on Tats and Rudoni for Torp and BTA

352 If needed also if really needed.

But alas it won't because we apparently only know 4231 and like for like subs

Even that line up leaves you with BTA awkwardly out of position on the right, but we need a flat 3 more.

Did you go/watch the Leeds match. Dasilva whenever he was fed the ball just turned and passed it back, also they targeted him down their right wing and he was found wanting most of the time, I know it wasn't just him, Kitching had a mare and Dasilva had no cover coming back from his winger either, but to say Bidwell has been dreadful and then bigging up Dasilva is a bit strange to me

They’re unbeaten and 1 point off top but equally haven’t won away yet this season.

Although saying that Swansea hadn’t even scored a goal away from home before they came to the CBS and we rolled over for them.

Bidwell has been poor more often than not this season. Dasilva wasn’t great but none of them were against Leeds. Prior to that he’s been the clear better performer when he’s been on for me. Much better ball retention and interplay going forwards. Defence is hard to judge because we’ve been so bad, but I’d be playing the fullbacks further up anyway while we’re playing with two pivots and Dasilva is one of our best players on the ball in congested areas weirdly enough.
