A lot of suggested line ups dont have MVE in them. Why? Is he injured? Hes our only RB and should absolutely play, certainly ahead of Lati FFS

Surprised to see so many putting Wilson in. He made a few routine-to-good saves in the first half on Saturday but also almost handed them a second when allowing the ball to slip from under him when on the ground; their actual second was straight at him and he got a soft hand to it when he should have saved it; the third was from close range and he could have done better although I don't blame him for this one. Don't think Dovin has done anything wrong to deserve being dropped.
think MR is protecting Dovin cos if they dont turn up the crowd wil get on his back and put any confidence he has on the backburner, nothing worse than the crowd turning on a player in the match!

Thomas-Asante was an absolute disaster on the right against Swansea. Thought Sakamoto was good in the only game we’ve won and has a good partnership with MvE.
We simply have to start playing our best team, which aside from 1 or 2 players is fairly obvious. MVE and Sakamoto were fantastic last season, Robins needs to give that combo games to start working again.

I like Asante but he can’t play any system. At best a late sub or allowed to do this thing up top. Putting him on the right just exacerbates the issues with the fullbacks being exposed.
Asante needs to play up front in the Middle as he cannot read the game out on the right and gets by passed by any wing play

I feel the same about Wright, Simms and Thomas tbh. Just pick an 11 and stick to it for a month at this point. I'd go:

Dovin
Milan
Thomas
Kitching
Dasilva
Sheaf
Eccles
Rudoni
Wright
Simms
Sakamoto

Only change in case of injury/fatigue.

Surely a change of formation / system tonight. Hard to pick a team, as everybody has been way off form in the last 2 games, and pretty much most of the season.
Bring back the box.
Dovin (GK)
Thomas Kitching Binks
Dasilva and MVE wing backs
Sheaf and Eccles (CM)
Sakamoto and Thomas-Asante (AMs)
Haji Wright (CF)

Haven't posted since before the Swansea game due to how frustrated/annoyed/pissed off I've been with the last 2 performances and some of the madness/comments across social media.

It'll be tough this evening, Blackburn have been impressive and very well organised - we need to make good use of our pace tonight to cause them issues and push them as far back as possible to create plenty of space in the middle so we're not being overrun. If we do this, I really think we'll win but we will also concede so I'm going for a 2-1 win.

Hope the atmosphere is more like Spurs than Swansea - I know the team must perform/put effort in for the fans to respond to but really feel they need us all the most right now.

Dovin
MVE Thomas Binks Bidwell
Sheaf Eccles
Rudoni
Saka Wright
Simms

Rudoni to be deeper than Saka/Wright and to tuck in between Shealf/Eccles when we've not go the ball. Sheaf/Rudoni passing to find Saka & Wright further up the pitch if possible and push their defence as far back as possible. Bidwell only ahead of Da Silva due to Wright starting for added protection. Binks in for Kitching as I worry about Kitching being caught out of position and being done for pace (thinking back to Blackburn away last season, they did target to isolate him at Ewood Park).

I'd be happy with a good performance and a draw but would take a scrappy win more obviously. PUSB!

I don’t care who plays tonight Aslong as they have a plan and give it their all

I’m absolutely clueless to what our best team is but know for sure it doesn’t have lati or simms in it

The anxious part of me is anticipating a fucking miserable night. Horrible weather, cold, dark and down 0-2 after 30 minutes to ensure the worst possible atmosphere.

However, I have faith tonight is the night we'll turn it around. I'll predict a 3-1 with Simms on the scoresheet.

Absolutely agree with the team, just needs to stop doing weird shit and stick with it for a bit. In fact the only ones i'm willing to even accept arguments for are...
Dasilva - Not a huge fan but Bidwell has been wank and i think Dasilva just about deserves to be in.
Kitching - Don't mind Binks at all, but i think Kitching/Thomas is the best pairing and just needs games together now.
Simms - Can fully see why he'd be dropped, he's been shite. I'd stick with him for a bit but wouldn't be against either BTA or Bassette, who frankly can't be any worse.

Picking the best 11 players and sticking with them makes sense.

There’s also an argument he picks the 11 players who are actually up for it, won’t buckle under the pressure and won’t be nervous on the ball.

Venn diagram of those two statements likely only produces a handful of players; Eccles, MVE, Rudoni? Sheaf if actually fit?

Sadly, I think Robins has to start Wilson simply because if he does not start, team selection would appear entirely random. Dovin is definitely the better goalkeeper.

If I was looking to keep my job I do not think I would be looking to Ben Wilson to help save it

Got a feeling a red card is going to be shown tonight.

Also got a feeling that after a decent start with us spurning a couple of decent chances, it will be Kitching hauling down their striker who's just latched onto a long clearance and through on goal.

Sorry, just thought I'd get things out there.

think the calls for Bassette are a bit premature, yes he looked good against a 2nd string spurs, but was then awful against Swansea.

Not saying he wont be a good player but we need "proven" at this stage and we know Simms can do it, need to give him the chance

I'd consider going back to 'The Box' but there are issues:
- Simms can't start because he doesn't press enough
- Sakamoto hugs the touchline too much, he's never played centrally for us
- Wright has looked poor as a central striker
- Rudoni's workrate is needed behind the striker, but he could also break from the double pivot like Hamer used too

So would it be BTA and EMC behind Wright? Rudoni and Wright behind Bassette?

If you want pure workrate it would be BTA and Rudoni behind Bassette.
For goal threat it's probably EMC and Wright behind Simms.

But do any of them actually work?

i would like to see Bassette up front with a partner

Also we see a better MVE with Tatsu
Lets be honest Sakamoto has looked awful so far this season and Bassette has zero experience

happened to Kitching last time we played them - I'd start Binks as reckon they'll target isolating Kitching again (as they did it at Ewood Park)
