I'd consider going back to 'The Box' but there are issues:
- Simms can't start because he doesn't press enough
- Sakamoto hugs the touchline too much, he's never played centrally for us
- Wright has looked poor as a central striker
- Rudoni's workrate is needed behind the striker, but he could also break from the double pivot like Hamer used too

So would it be BTA and EMC behind Wright? Rudoni and Wright behind Bassette?

If you want pure workrate it would be BTA and Rudoni behind Bassette.
For goal threat it's probably EMC and Wright behind Simms.

But do any of them actually work?
Saka played there early on last season tbf

Just doesn't work with the personnel we've got now. Allen and Rudoni might have worked at the top of the box but the former is injured. It still leaves no options beyond that really though.

I have a really bad feeling about this one. Which hopefully means we will win. When I’m confident we always lose so maybe it’ll be the opposite tonight

He’s been considerably better than Bidwell. I think the love in for Bidwell is because more people dislike Dasilva so what do we do now?

Bidwell hasn't had a great start to the season but I feel much more comfortable with him in the team over Dasilva, who is too susceptible to getting beat by a simple long ball over his head, and who also leaves the team weaker physically at a time when the team as a whole doesn't have an abundance of strength in it. Ideally we'd have signed McCallum in the Summer but unfortunately that ship has sailed.

Unless diving was Ill youve got to assume wilson will play again
Think saka and wright have to start
The rest of the team pretty much picks itself

I can't go, hopefully not a blessing in disguise!

Time for a change I think.

3-4-3

Get all our best players on the pitch and play on the front foot, got to win or the season is gone you have to think (top 6).

He played there twice last season.

Once at Swansea away where I thought he did pretty well. And at home to WBA, can't remember how he played that day tbh.
He has the technical ability to do it. I'd still prefer him drifting from out to in personally.

I reckon we will lose 1-0 in the 90th minute with Matt Smith fully reverting to his CC84 persona, shitting himself all over the forum and saying we will be bottom by Christmas
I mean if we lost tonight we’d basically be bottom of the division, so much for the importance of a fast start.

Well, we wouldn’t necessarily. If Cardiff win they’d still be below us.

If Preston and Portsmouth both lose, they would also remain below us.

Glass half full!
