But that first sentence was exactly the argument that was being used up to last week to drop Godden! So we should take off the player who has less of the ball but creates more chances and scores 2 goals over the player who has more of the ball and scores no goals?
Simms for the first time with us was buzzing. His confidence was as high as it could get. But we took him off. Yes Godden is a good goal poacher. I'm happy to have him in our side. But Goddens stats for the game were over the 90 minutes. Being a striker is all about confidence. Simms gave them more problems than Godden before he was taken off. We need to give time for Simms and Wright at some stage in case Godden gets injured. Last game would have been the perfect time. This isn't saying Godden doesn't deserve his place in the side.
What it does say is however well you do you will be subbed off. How can that be right?
What !!!!!So we should take off the player who has less of the ball but creates more chances and scores 2 goals over the player who has more of the ball and scores no goals?

Yes that is the case friend. Haji has always taken a bit to settle in and I think once he does fully, he will start firing them in. He was the same when he played at Sonderjyske.Just having another look at his stats from Turkey, and he scored 5 in 22 when he joined Antalyaspor, and then an incredible 9 goals in 10 appearances during the season run-in. Evidence he's already had issues settling in previously?
He could easily have had a few more anyway. It was a good save that denied him against Leicester, and the chance against Huddersfield was nowhere near as easy as some were saying.Yes that is the case friend. Of course everyone wanted him to bang them in a lot more by now, but again people need to be patient, and he will be just fine.
Explain yourself.What !!!!!
What on earth are you chatting ? I'm happy with how both played .. you've joined a chat late and picked up bitsExplain yourself.
The best player on the pitch last game between Godden and Simms was Simms. How many problems did Godden give them? Godden is a goal poacher. He doesn't have the strength or speed. But he has the poachers chance. In the right place at the right time.
So again who got into the best positions and scored goals? Whose confidence was the highest in the game?
Players have good and bad games. We took off the player having the better game. Godden didn't do much after Simms went off. Do you still count taking off Simms instead of Godden was the right call?
It isn't Godden hate. He knows where the back of the net is. But last game other than waving his arms about he didn't do much more. One of the times he waived his arms about at Simms there was no chance of getting the ball to him. Whereas Simms caused them problems.
I think Godden was legitimately annoyed that Simms didn't put him in for an easy goal. Genuinely other than the goals Simms had a poor match. Hopefully the goals will give him confidence though. Was that the move where Godden won a good flicked header to put Simms away, then carried on with a run to the edge of the 6 yard box? Thought it was a great move, and think it was more the disappointment in the finish than an expectation of a pass that caused him to wave his arms in exasperation.

True. Gyokeres was the same, and for a striker you want that sort of attitude at least to a degree. He was throwing his arms about all over the place but is as guilty as any striker for doing it himself.
Excuse me.What on earth are you chatting ? I'm happy with how both played .. you've joined a chat late and picked up bits
Basically what I'm saying is if godden played like simms did , which he did Saturday the stats show this .. and godden scored 2 , fans would say he was anonymous besides the goals .. that's the argument .
I'm happy with their performances
I have no idea what we are on about tbh .. I'm just getting confused with our chatExcuse me.
You're quoting me not me quoting you. I replied to you on why I would have left Simms on the pitch last game. I said nothing else. Otherwise would you like to show what else I have said?
What's happened ?Fuck me, what a bunch of wet lettuces on that Facebook forum.
The decision to take Simms off rather than Godden could well have been based on fitness levels rather than a reflection of performance. Also sometimes managers take a player off before the end so they get a cheer from the crowd to boost their confidence. There are a lot of factors that go into such decisions, most of which we as fans have no awareness of.Excuse me.

No. Each time Simms had the ball in the area he waved his arms about. The time I stated there was defenders the the keeper covering any ball coming through. Was that the move where Godden won a good flicked header to put Simms away, then carried on with a run to the edge of the 6 yard box? Which is exactly what I said yet you come along jumping on my posts making out I have said something totally different.I have no idea what we are on about tbh .. I'm just getting confused with our chat

They just don’t get humour when you tell them a suggested chant is a bag of wank.
I clearly look old then as I'm 51 but didnt get challenged for my OAPTalking of Queens Park Wankers, it was the first time I got collared for looking over my ticket age. I am 13 years over it I suppose. Better stop milking my boyish looks soon.

As he always said, he was the fastest over 1 yard!Everybody could run faster than Micky Quinn
He had an eye for goal though and good body strength. I liked him.

But Simms hadn't stopped running and you could see the disappointment on his face. He didn't look at all as though he is running out of gas.The decision to take Simms off rather than Godden could well have been based on fitness levels rather than a reflection of performance.
