This but would rather Bidwell over Dasilva

Think Bidwell is a great option to bring on if struggling to defend but think Jay is better as a typical wingback.

surely at some point MVE needs a rest else he'll get injured?

I sometimes look at the billiard table pitches they play on today, and think what the great dribbling players would have made of it.
Could just see Hutch and Bestie with the ball at their feet, they could keep it all day if they wanted.
We also had players who could use two feet.

Of course, I agree entirely. The "younger" fans are maybe a little myopic.
We saw both eras & are therefore well placed to assess.

If your playing with wingbacks you could play Tats or Eccles there

could we not take the hit and start a RB from the academy? at least they'd know the position well

Think both Eccles and Saka have played the role before for us. Not sure on the academy but the gulf is huge.

Think Eccles started as RWB as well but someone will correct me I’m sure

Bristol City will be without four players for Coventry City trip

Bristol City travel to Coventry City on Saturday afternoon in the Championship as they look to get back to winning ways after being dumped out of the FA Cup

The players picked for subs bench is probably going to be the most interesting thing about tomorrow.

Mind you anyone want to take a punt on Raphael getting a start.

2 weeks ago i was hopeful Wright would be back but seems he's still a way off. Can see a drab 1-1.

And Peter Ndlovu would have been as good at this stage of the season as he was when the sun was shining and the pitches were good.

The game was played at a far slower pace then and there was no high press

But on much heavier pitches and in a game that was more physical generally

NTT20 have back us to lose to nil at 5/1. Sighting that our attacking data is trending downwards and Bristol City suit playing against teams with a high line.

I can see us either losing 1-0 or equalising very mate in the game

Cam Pring out for them which is good, he's a good player. I called Bristol C a dark horse earlier this season and still think they are, just a bit inconsistent.

Called it at the time ankle injuries can take longer to heal than breaking a leg.

Agreed they have a good side. They're better than us. However we seem to tend to beat them at home in recent years

It would be good to get 4 points from the next 2. The following 5 games are pretty brutal

Based on the fact I can't go I fully expect a stunning performance of fast flowing football and a big win before normal service is resumed when I'm back.

Was impressed with them when we played down there this season. Pring and Bird looked like two players I'd love for us to sign

Still to this day don’t know why we didn’t go for bird, would have been a no Brainer

Just feels like we're in limbo at the minute, Lampard can't play the way he wants without a left winger so it's just a waiting game until EMC and Wright are back.

He has to find a way to play and win without them. If we go on a bad run of form he can’t use them being out as an excuse

If we actually had another winger in the squad maybe. But we don't.

Not many managers are going to be able to consistently win games without their two most productive attackers and playing an unfavoured formation.
