The problem with our players is when we are moving forward, we seem to dawdle in midfield and pass sideways or backwards and let the other team get set up again at the back. I'd like for us to make a quick thrust forward when there is an opportunity to do so.

Rudoni has been good. EMC also BUT I wish he would cut in less.

Bassette showing he’s still a bit too raw.

LB still very clearly the weakest position. Also need Kitching to find the form he had from the start of last year as Binks doesn’t do enough for me.

The loose passes and defence is a worry. As been lucky a few times that fast midfielders have been able to get on the end of lose balls

Cardiff could go in thinking they'd be ahead as well though TBF, it looks like what it is, two bottom third teams low on confidence.

We look a bit lopsided, think it's the least we've seen from MVE in the opposition half ever.

Some attempts to play quicker one and two touch play but it's broken down due to sloppy passing. Got to keep trying it though rather than the 5 touches and go backwards we exhibit 90% of the time.

EMC doing well but can he take on his man just once please - y'know like the player we thought we were signing

Build up play is still too slow. Tats , Sheaf doing well apart from couple misplaced passes

The CB's - I dunno what to say anymore.

Decent enough but the defence is dodgy again. By now I think we just need upgrade. Whether that’s one or two new CBs or a genuinely quality ball winning anchorman type to protect them.

Same old same old really.

They are terrible, we’re making them look far better than they are.

Where are our subs? Watch one come on now and get injured because they haven’t warmed up properly.

PS still also way too slow. Some cross field balls have been splendid though.

Tbf the first 5 minutes had intensity which dropped as soon as the Cardiff players stopped pressing the CB's. At which point they can't work out how to break the press. Need better movement in the middle.

LB is still the major issues it means whoever is there is playing for two defenders at the moment. JDS just gets bullied.

Bidwell is the absolutely sensible choice anyway, but certainly in a back 4 when JDS is getting up the pitch anyway. If he is fully fit then it’s just bizarre.

For an attacking wing back position then there’s a case for JDS.

Pretty sure one of their players fell over on the ball and still retained posesssion vs Dasilva two separate times in this that first half.

We never do anyway

Just kick a ball about for 10 mins trying to avoid sprinklers

At the start of the season I thought we would be lucky to hold on to MVE but he’s like a different player. Misplaced 3 simple passes in a row in that first half - that’s mindset / concentration.. I think he’s been a bit complacent with no real competition at RB.

Overall I thought we looked quite bright tbh but could easily be a 2-2 first half.

Not a great half it sort of drifted by not really exciting hopefully we see more when Franks had a wee to work with them, shit marking at set pieces costs us again with another free header can Mason Clark actually run?

Indeed, he just doesn't put in a challenge. And I mentioned earlier in the thread he's been told not to overlap which just seems to make him even more redundant.

Bidwell in when fit for sure.

I really hope we find a way to win this. Cardiff look so awful and losing or drawing with them would just sap our confidence and would be another missed opportunity in another winnable game.
