He's a class or two above BTA and Bassette and actually has the quality to play in the Premier League, IMO.
I think if anything he would do better in that league than the Championship. Clear to see why we were in for him even if promoted.

Paul Warne is another of those managers who without checking, I think MR has a strong record against. Think he’s won every encounter except for the 4-0 at Rotherham in L1?

And if more people moved over there may be queues to get in and get a beer

There's easily the capacity really. Now they've opened the extra bar, it's easy to get served. Thankfully they've increased the range of beer and food now so we aren't stuck with just Budweiser.

He's definitely got the quality to step up to the Premier league... first name on the team sheet for me tbh.
I do think Bassette is decent but clearly a long term project.

In Coventry this afternoon for the game. Recently joined ccfc London supporters group and think they said they often meet before home matches in the same pub. I've forgotten where. Anyone know?

I think we have a number of players who would find it easier in the prem - Wright/Simms/MVE in particular - think the hustle of the championship catches them out when they are not fully at it. Sheaf obviously also, but he's just a rolls Royce.
I thought Bidwell was the Rolls Royce?

Still away for this. Fortunately (maybe) I’ve met a Derby fan so it’ll add some atmosphere to the game, even if we will be crowded round the iPad!

Game is 10:45PM where we are, which is actually perfect as kids (and probably partner) will be asleep so no distractions!

Pretty gutted to be missing it, especially as I expect a good result and a feel good atmosphere around the place again.

2-0, Wright, Torp.

This has got slightly more interesting. I met a Sunderland fan last night, an older chap here on his own (his wife recently passed away unfortunately) and he wants to watch the game with us.

Proper fan too - ST holder etc. Knows all about the “rivalry” too!

So it’ll be nice to have some added atmosphere around the game, but can’t help feel I’m missing out on a hopefully great night at the CBS.

Still confident of a win.

Midweek, unglamorous oppo, won't have sold many in our losing streak.

27/28 would be good, will there be many higher attendances than that in the midweek fixtures? Looking at the last set only Leeds managed it.
22700 at Sheffield wednesday last night which is shockingly low for them

Premier League players are obviously quicker (in mind and execution) and stronger than in Championship. You often hear managers remark when they go up that mistakes they’re making would go unpunished last year

Not arsed about them tbh ,.but ofcourse hope we stuff them
Can't be arsed to hate Derby when we have Sunderland and Sheffield Utd coming up after them. I'll save my hate for those absolute pair of shithouse gormless c**t clubs.

Brent-like, reckons we’ve spent well over £50m

Didn’t like the way they went on at our place the other year at all, they were going through the mill (Completely down to their own hyper over spending which they actually loved at the time) then were going round playing the sympathy card, asking us to protest with them and then acted like arseholes during the match

Although the footage of them trying to storm into the Cherry Tree then in return being chased away and pasted all over the A444 made hilarious viewing…
