Derby only picked up 1 point on their travels but still doing OK in their first season back. Be a tough game but we should be winning these type of games at home.

Keep it the same, unless anyone is showing fatigue.

The likes of Torp won't last the full match, but we do have the ability to change it around if necessary.

Really wouldn’t start Wright. Fed up of him looking like he’s not arsed after scoring yet again for us. Lazy fucker blew a kiss to their fans but not ours. Says a lot. Hopefully Norman starts (because he moans at people) alongside BTA the real life pro clubs player.

His kisses were sarcastic, surely ?

Have to disagree and, please accept my apologies, quote the old cliche that the most important game is your next game.

Last thing we want to do is rest players and slip on the Derby banana skin.

Get the win against Derby and set ourselves up for a final push before most players have a break to recover anyway.
I'd want a win against Derby first and foremost . I wouldn't rest anyone. A draw against Sunderland is a plus. They are top of the league and there on merit. Three wins out of four would be an excellent return.

If we can win this, get a point (or even another 3) at Sunderland and then we go into the Sheff Utd game with a real free hit. Would be a great way to go into the next break.

Confidence seems to be flowing now but I'm still not confident. Boro going down to 10 gave us massive advantage, let's be honest.

I think it'll be 1-1 on Tuesday.

We were much the better side before the red card
You're right about the confidence though, makes such a difference when they're trusting and believing in themselves and each other

Anyone know what time Derby are arriving at the annual Cherry Tree Half Marathon? 👀

The CBS will be rocking on Weds!
Can’t wait - 3 on the bounce is exactly what we need.

Simms has to start if fit. BTA presses well but does little else other than run around a lot.
I think it’s mental people want to start Simms instead of BTA after yesterday. Simms is a better finisher undoubtedly but BTA works very hard on the press and non stop hounds their defenders. Not only does he get chances off this for himself but a fair few chances yesterday for others as a result, including being involved with Eccles goal

I’d stick with him

Same side starts if all fit. Can afford to rest anyone at this crucial stage. Lets try and win this and think about Sunderland later. Btw Sunderland looking frail last few games, think their early good start is tailing off. Bellingham will be missing too. As for Derby they are poor away from home but that luck changes at some point. Lets not get complacent.

Hope we stuff these lot can't stand them!

That being said they are doing better than I expected them to after watching them at Blackburn first game of the season where they looked dire... Will be a tight match

I think Simms is better suited when we are playing against a low block and there isn’t much space in behind. We would expect to have more possession so his aerial threat is needed. I think BTA is better for away games when we’re playing on the break and he can get in behind

On another day BTA could have had a hattrick (slight offside not given, gets to the ball across for Hajis goal first, toe poke past the keeper from the bad back pass goes in). Did more than enough to keep his place IMO. Always seems to get himself into dangerous positions.
It’s so nice having mobility up front. It’s so frustrating, especially when we’re losing, and the oppos centre half’s can just play it between themselves with no one near them.

Just flicked through their forum and can't recall many more pessimistic opposition fans

So i'll hedge my bets on 0-1 and Jerry Yates or James Collins scoring :ROFLMAO:

You think it's mental that people would pick Simms after his best performance of the season and a goal and assist? Weird take

Derby at home Wednesday night then less than 3 days later the long journey up to Sunderland. I'd rest any players we can against Derby. Have them on the bench just in case we need them. We need a full strength side more against Sunderland than Derby. And we have more than capable replacements.
I’m thinking these three points are worth far more than an away game with top of the league. If we come away with something from Sunderland it will be a bonus. Play the strongest possible squad for both games. Then the international break.

Alternatively with an international break coming you can put out your strongest team in both games and have the players who need rest get it next week.
