To be fair we looked good value for the win anyway against Luton and looked good at Boro before the red card. Again though it’s a few steps forward and a dozen back with this group.

MR again watching the nightmare of Sakamoto at AM while we’re pigeon holing Rudoni into LWB. At least give them both a chance and swap them, it was a crime against football tonight.
He’s too stubborn to do that I’m afraid

I don't buy that, sorry. We have been poor in many games for sure. But not been all season.

We were excellent against Oxford and Spurs and Luton and Middlesbrough.

(I didn't see the Blackburn game)
Otis, we were ok against Oxford and got lucky with that back pass. We were decent for 80 mins against Spurs, Luton was a chaotic game and Boro were fucked over by a red card. Its not really been anything to shout about.
We look like a large bunch of individuals all trying to impress but rarely working as a balanced team.

What a shambles. Absolutely embarrassing. I hope some of these low league players who probably got a nice little signing on fee realise yes this may be a stepping stone club to some, but if you don’t try or even pull your weight we as a unit will never give you that foundation stone. 😤

You can't seriously be saying Dovin should have shouted to Rudoni not to pass to him?!?

Mad talk that pass was never on and no keeper would have expected it. Stitched him up.

Dovin is fine and will be a better keeper than either of the others. He didn't cost us tonight
He won’t be anything other than bang average! I’ve seen enough keepers to see this .

Okay against Oxford? We were excellent..

We had 26 shots and 63.5% possession.

Lucky to win it right at the end, but we were all over them and Sky were praising how well we played

This is the season we're going to have I feel. Resigned to it tbh. We're just one of those up and down sides that the Championship reeks of. We'll have some good days and we'll get turned over plenty. Just going to enjoy match days and those good moments. Could be wrong, hope I am and wouldn't be the first time, but I'm almost writing this season off. We'll be ok though. All a bit depressing given the recent highs but we're just not good enough and lacking in too many areas right now.

Didn't realise Eccles got booked for dissent? Five bookings and out for Sunderland game.

Yeah, we'll be absolutely fine. Looks like we are going to be inconsistent all season though the way it's going.

Unless we can do something in January.

Very strange team set up from the start, players out of position, experimenting with Sakamoto as a 10 is just totally baffling,I just can't get my head around what the Manager and his coaches are doing...worst home performance I've seen for a long time.

Their keeper was the worst I've ever seen at this level and we barely even tested him.

Poor from us again, it's pritty painful to watch us half the time, as soon as you think we turn the corner we go back to barely being able to play a 5 yard pass.

This is true, I believe they even presented us with a 'deservedly beat Oxford' trophy made of old socks that sits proudly next to the coffee machine in Ryton.

Can anyone guess what our plan was today? They were clearly going to defend in numbers and occasionally try and break. And it worked.

I don't think we will go down but after all the hype, build up and expenditure , this is turning into one great shitty anti climax. For the first time in a few years, we have gone backwards and the new signings…..meh !

I assume the players thought they were shit hot after managing two wins in a row for the first time in half a year so just coasted through. Don’t worry, we can enjoy the crowd serenading COH and Hamer next time

We’re in a battle to stay up at this point, the table, results and performances do not lie. Coin toss whether or not we make it.

Some odd decisions there on the pitch. I can't get why they're so reluctant to get early crosses in from wide areas, especially in the last ten minutes when Derby were wobbling.

Instead we kept moving the ball inside and looking for some wonder pass - that last, final ball from Eccles (who had an otherwise decent game) as a case in point.
