There was a plan. The players didn’t follow it. That’s what Robins said. We didn’t use the space out wide, we wasted possession with bad decisions, we didn’t move the ball quick enough or move them around off the ball.

Wing backs far too reserved. When Bobby was on the ball they covered every pass, no idea why he didn’t just drive forward into the space and look to commit one of their players. Again, we sit here saying the same thing - we need to attack quickly. Outpaced by a bunch of glorified traffic cones.

Don’t think we’ll finish above derby

Plymouth probably fair
Nah we will - we’ve got an extra gear that Robins has got to find.

Derby are managed by Paul Warne who is limited at this level. They’ll pick up points and stay up but we’ll get more.

Oxford are sliding down the table aswell since their good start. We’ll finish above them aswell.

No Eccles next game either, so something has to change, but probably not for the better.

I imagine joel will move into midfield ..

All fair comments apart from

a limited Paul warne who tactically out thought our manager?

Interesting

We had more attempts on goal, more possession, more corners, twice the amount of passes, more completed crosses and a higher XG than Derby and we lost 2-1. Go figure
That’s because
a) they were even more shite than we were
b) they came for a point, once they went ahead they could park the bus
c) they are so much better at parking the bus and defending a lead than we are

In summary, they didn’t need to go chasing those meaningless stats. The only important one shows 2 actual goals for them and only 1 actual goal for us.

According to the rules of the game, that means they won and we lost.

Surely if the plan isn't working, then things get changed. There wasn't much coming from the bench tonight. I know you've nailed your colours to the mast, wrt Robins, and we all love him for what he's done. He'll always be a legend. It's time for someone else to come in now surely. He's taken us as far as he can now.
Those two wins and the 3 game unbeaten streak, have earned him more time as far as I am concerned.

Tonight was a disaster, but it all came down to an awful mistake and a heavy deflection.

He deserves more time. He's earned it.
As I said earlier, I think that without that Rudoni suicide pass and gift, I believe we would have gone on to win that game.

We just need to top talking like this and focus on what the squad needs in January because it's clearly not balanced and is lacking a couple of players

Definitely. We have to do some decent dealing in the Jan window

It looked off from where I was sitting, linesman was miles behind play having a nice cup of coffee.
Apparently the coaches with the ipads told Robins it was definitely offside according to Robins himself, thank goodness we have these sophisticated technicians in the dug out. Get out in the technical area and coach for fucks sake!

His kicking was atrocious. The most annoying thing was, he notably shanked two kicks, one we just about defended the resulting fortunate attack and the other Rudoni provided an assist for Yates' goal.

It wasn’t half. That one that Rudoni eventually played through, it was about 50 yards away from the intended target.

Honestly on current form I’d drop Sheaf (clean up on aisle EarlsdonSkyBlue) for that CM. Toss up for the defenders but given mobility and everything it would probably be Thomas at CB who loses out. Unless he moves to the right side.

Did Vik lose it at Brighton and Swansea?

It’s a factor of leadership. People are different depending on the situation. Look how many players have gone world beater to carpet beater since leaving a good Robins side. Without leadership your team is at the mercy of emotions and how the game is going and if MvE won on Mario Kart last night. With it they’re focused. Some teams lead themselves but not many.
Mario Kart really really made me smile again 😀

As much as you don't like thomas , without the lad we'd be like that meme where the security guard is searching people without a care in the world.

I dont think he’s much better defensively and as one of the players who just get the most touches of the ball he just doesn’t use it or drive well enough. But mostly I think an older CB will likely play the central role.
