Coventry City fans to discuss possibility of supporter-led takeover (1 Viewer)

Agree but you must admit. If everything else is status quo. It would be better to have people making the decisions who you know are making them with the clubs interest at heart. Not what us best for a different business which is more important to them.
Then it comes down to what has to happen to make that change. If we're saying admin has to happen then there's a very good chance we'd take over a non-league club. Is that worth doing to get rid of SISU. Of course there's no reason to think that under SISU we wouldn't end up there anyway.

I'm not sure a lot of people have a realistic view of what things would be like with fan ownership.

Well it was spelled out quite clearly last night, it would be difficult to have a crack at the championship under that model. But struggling championship club would be an improvement on where we are now.

Jan was on the radio talking about the championship and premiership wasn't he? It needs to be driven home what it would be like.

That's a bit silly to be honest.
Lower end championship - possibly.
Premiership - highly unlikely when you've got to contend with teams with parachute payments and mega rich benefactors.

So who's your source then? What are the details of this £750K a season rent deal? Why would they share it with you? Two said it at once quitsies no returns. Seriously, how old are you?

We didn't say it once but separately. - id said it previously. Oddly when Italia and others come out with total unfounded nonsense regarding sponsors withholding deals until CCFC is sorted out you never ask for a source.

Fair enough. Can't think why.

Aren't you estimating that money is going to pockets or are you going to post up proof?

Irony meter off the scale.
Use your brain. SISU aren't still here "Allegedly" pouring in millions of pounds into a "Basket Case" if there wasn't any money being paid to them. Only last week OSB58(I'll stand corrected if it wasn't him and PM him my apology) showed payments being paid out, although couldn't be sure who these were paid to. Also it was shown for all to see "Payments to directors" of over £300k each.(This I believe was brought to our attention by the Media)
So don't tell me money doesn't go out of what could be used as a fucking good budget.

You do realise you are talking about SISU's accounts having payments to directors of the hundreds of thousands and not CCFC right?

Again, while you are getting a hard on about Grendel's estimated facts you are churning out double the bullshit that is actually only estimated also. If you want to play by your own rules, you need to start proving things and not estimating surely?

But wasn't the £300k payments from SISU and not CCFC?

I take it you don't follow football in general then CD? All but 3-4 Clubs in the Bundesliga are "Fan ownership led" and are getting excellent "Gates" One of my sons was based in Dortmund during his Army career and said crowds over there are superb and entrance is very cheap for games.

The boycott word was used mainly from the SD chap when describing a similar issue at Chester City and Blackpool when they took that course of action in one off cup tie games I think no time was boycott suggested, or threatened.last night unless you take that "will you buy a season ticket" show of hands a question which came from the floor The main message from SD and the Pompey fella was to quote a Boy Scout saying Be Prepared, Pompey chap explained how they did it step by step and over a 2/3 year time eframe the SD guy suggested we don't have that much time in fact could be quiet a short time when it happens. Interesting meeting and the Pompey story fascinating really how they won that battle I don't know dealing with alsorts of dodge pots. It was explained the road ahead is rocky and unknown to an extent, the same sort of road Pompey and others have trod.

The whole funding dynamic is completely different in Germany, fan ownership doesn't work in English footvall beyond leagues 1 and 2.

Well we are not as sisu had to find funds last January. Also there is the small matter of affording a far more expensive lease coming around the corner.

So not sure which is it now?
Are we breakeven or is it as I suspect that you will never get to breakeven as, as you make more cuts, revenues will decrease so you have to cut more?

The aim is to be cash flow neutral. You asked what the difference was between the trust and sisu.

We know last season the investors lent money as the cash flow position was failing.

Would the trust have access to such facilities.

The fact they want administration is very worrying as they would potentially mean a team in the depths of league two at take over. Summer funding would be a huge risk.

Under these circumstances liquidation would be a definate possibility.

With respect I asked you if you thought Ray ranson should have been loaning money to rival clubs when chairman.

I asked did you agree yes or no?

I don't want misdirected nonsense, I don't want talks about investigations I want a one word answer - did you agree with that approach from ranson

If you won't answer don't respond back if that's ok with you?
With all due respect why does it matter what Ray Ranson did so many years ago, we can move on from the war with Germans but we can't get over what somebody did or said 6 or so years ago which has no consequence to how we move forward from this point. Unless you want to set up a truth and reconciliation tribunal?

You don't want to set an example to Italia and other's then by giving your unfounded nonsense some credibility.

Fair enough. Can't think why.

Good to see you're classifying your own credibility in line with Italia and others.

SBK quoting SISU's accounts and getting it wrong. Hahahaha.

Tony, what exactly did DJ get out of TF? If you're referring to the £1m profit being EBIT. Didn't TF say that when he announced it?

You tell me. The first time I heard it was on CWR and when pushed he admitted it was EBIT. But he was pushed.

I'm sure he had said it was EBIT. Hence when SJ was on about it, people had said it was EBIT, even though SJ didn't know it was. I'm sure someone can clarify it.

Pushed? He asked was it that and fisher said yes.

Why is it of interest either gross or met anyway?

I think Tony is right, I think it was on CWR when he said about it and DJ said something like "is that ebit" and he said it was.

It wasn't exactly forced out was it. Irrelevant anyway
