I see it more as a mark of SISU's failure of stewardship of CCFC than a mark of disrespect by Wasps.

And I don't believe they've taken us to the low point yet, the worst is yet to come..

Haven't read the thread, but this doesn't bother the owners of our Club .

Fishers Ambition for us Is to survive somewhere else in a ground fit for this or the Division Below ,offering up the annual Interest payment in the form of

the latest Nugget to come through the academy.

He may have correctly recognised around 3 years ago that we are not the Sleeping giant he purports us to be .

The ambition for a ground that holds circa 20K Is probably Accurate however ,the trip to It will leave him with a diminishing return needing capacity of

under 10K .

I dont like the fact that Wasps are here but they are doing just what CCFC did ie apply to put their badge on the stadium except I think Fletcher it was who had them put up before it went for a decision they were always going to get it,but He made a big deal about it.

I don't think it's worth the argument as to where the fault lies for this but let's be honest all parties are at fault for this, Sisu, The Council, Higgs, all of them. The Club made a bid for the Higgs share and it was rejected, that's apart of life and I accept that but I can't help feeling as if the Council have let the City down with this move, even now..

What would be the difference if Wasps put there badge in another place on the outside? Presumably where they plan to move ours to, is it because there not as viewable from far away?

Feels they are doing it just because they can, to show who's the boss. Despite there claims that they want a good relationship with the club.

The more I hear about wasps the more I hope they crash and burn.
After the pantomime of the 1st few games with all the freebie tickets I Really hope they struggle and show ccc and the higgs what a huge mistake they have made.
As one councillor said it is a gamble which will make them heroes or make them look very stupid. I'm hoping it's the latter.

Haven't seen you post too often Ricoh roar but this post won't go down too well with some. I happen to agree with you 100%. Only one groups fault for not purchasing the Ricoh for whatever reason that is. That's sisu's.

Blame the council all you want (I still blame them partly btw) but the ground has been waiting to be purchased by investors for the last 10 years and that's the top and bottom of it. Ironically investors have bought it just not the investors that should of. Council have been willing to sell and open to offers for so long and to quote what I heard one council worker say " they can't wait for sisu forever" he is right. They take sole responsibility for our club and no one else. Why? Because they are the fregin owners.

I think a lot of it is about investment in building up the area around the arena, SISU never made any commitment, question is, did they say they would before they bought the club then fail to deliver?
As I understand it Wasps plan to build a training facility in the area, maybe more. This is very important for the council, they aim to increase employment, that is what a lot of this fall out has been about in my opinion.

One small point though, the CCFC badges aren't being taken away, they're being moved a little bit.

True the wasps need the bigger dressing room as their squad is made up of 22 players.

SP and Waggot were told this at their meeting with wasps.

Turning the old dingy offices into away changing rooms as no longer needed.

The reason it went so cheap was that SISU forced it down in price as they thought they were the only game in town.
Why would anyone sell to someone who did that?
CCC would have sold to any other owners of CCFC but not Sisu for that one single reason.

In fact they continue the charade to this very day with talk of a new 'Timpot' stadium and JR appeal.

Coventry City Council is willing to consider bids for the Ricoh Arena and the surrounding land, the authority's leader has confirmed.
Councillor Ann Lucas said the council would listen to "reasonable and sensible offers" for the freehold but stressed the site would not be sold "unencumbered".
She also said it is time to consider a future for the Ricoh without a football team.
