Agreed. Trouble is for all the excellent play in attack we only have one defender who is any good MVEVery surprised that people are unhappy with our performance, we completely battered them. We are still defensively fragile and that needs addressing but Hull literally couldn’t get the ball out their own half for most of the game.

Lampard has got them playing noticeably quicker which I have been desperate to see. Throw in's, goalkeeper clearances.

i like bassette, and he could well become a great player, but simms is better at the moment.
Sheaf isn't playing great but he's better than Eccles and the best 3 midfielders are starting currently.
Eccles will get his chance again at some point but it's obvious lampard can see this as a neutral rather than care he's an academy kid
