New songbook required for tomorrow

We’re shit, but got loads of cash

Why’d you sell Gus Hamer? (Ed: the original McSheffret version maybe the whiniest cringiest song the SBA have ever sung)

Got no Hamer, who gives a fuck? We’re Coventry City and we’re on for a lower midtable season of reconciliation

Well my day gets worse!

Hadn’t received my ticket so emailed the ticket office. They told me I don’t have a season ticket! Apparently I should have got an email about a week after I bought them saying finance didn’t go through (possibly my email is shite).

So now I’ve missed the early bird, can’t find any decent ST seats and have to buy tickets for tomorrow.

Fucks sake. All my own fault really.

Get a Sheffield United one!

Personally I would like us to go back to the box, but we won't

------------------------Wilson
---------Thomas---Fad---Lati
Eccles -----Sheaf----Kelly*----Dasilva
--------------Palmer---Hamer
----------------------Wright

But he will play

------------------------Wilson
---------Thomas---Fad---Lati
Eccles -----Sheaf----Hamer----Dasilva
------------------------Palmer--
------------------Godden-Wright

Unless Thomas is still injured, then Binks will come in and Lati will shift across to the right.

*Kelly only plays because Eccles is having to play RWB.

I think you are probably right but wouldn't be surprised to see Bidwell in for DaSilva.

Mate, that's sh*t. Maybe plead with them - see if they can sort something out. Hope you get sorted.

Yeah gonna see what I can do next week. I can’t find this email they claim to have sent so that might work in my favour.

Box midfield might be more fruitful without a player able to carry the ball far or transition the play.

Eccles Sheaf

Palmer Saka

Wright

Bring on Kelly and Simms when Palmer and MVE tire out. Saka seems like he can do a full 90.

This is my thinking. Otherwise I fear a sore neck with the ball going long more often than not.

I meant you sounds like ticket stuff issues

Oh read up. Apparently my finance application failed but I never saw an email (and can’t find it now) so I haven’t actually got a season ticket. Had to buy match tickets for tomorrow, gonna see if I can sob story my way to at least early bird prices but I doubt it.

I worry about that link between midfield and attack without Hamer so would probably go back to the box (although I don’t think he will)

Wilson
MVE Thomas (if fit) Fadz Lati Dasilva

Sheaf Eccles

Palmer Saka

Wright

Can you PM me the addresses? Searched “CCFC” “finance” “v12” “ticket” “ticketmaster” and there’s no communication after my initial “thanks for your order” email as far as I can tell. So think I may go a bit Karen here and see what I can do.

I may have slightly overreacted after the defeat to Wimbledon, even though I said we would come good eventually. I was a tad... dramatic.

I blame Beer, Bad ankle and Barcelona.

That being said, I'm not overly optimistic. We will come good when the players get up to speed and more time to gel. Hamer obviously a big loss.

Not sure I understand why so many are predicting that we'll go long tomorrow. There is nothing to suggest this is the case, the summer recruitment and pre-season games do not point to this at all.

We got the ball forward quickly against Leicester, but I think that was more about the opposition and adapting our style to suit.

The idea we'll all get neck strain this season is bizarre. We went direct at the tail end of last season, but it was horses for courses and we had no choice. That's not how we'll set up this season.

Just got off the phone with my dad. A half hour rant about the City. To be honest, he loves his football and knows his stuff. Can't recall many times he's given an opinion on a player and it's ultimately gone bad. But he reckons to give Sakamoto the Hamer role tomorrow. Sounds totally alien to me but is he actually on to something, or can I tell him he's finally lost it?

Not daft at all, he has the stamina, the work rate and the dynamism.

For anybody going tomorrow. Longford is already mayhem with traffic today. Tomorrow is going to be madness so avoid

Like that idea. Obvious to see the management see him as a AM / WF.
Kelly / Eccles / Sheaf to compete for the CM positions. Think Robins will buy a CM Destroyer with the Gus money. O’Hare, Palmer and Sakamoto for the AM position.

I think the longer plan is to use the full backs to make the plays, with 2 units up front we can get crosses into. Like a better looking Luton from last season.
