Bit long but just a couple of things that I think are worth noting:

Reading the comments from the last few hours, I think the talk about people wishing Godden to be “dropped” has been massively skewed. I‘ve been all for Wright and Simms starting together but I don’t think that means Godden will just be dropped or should be dropped, and I don’t think that’s what most of the people who are also supporting the idea for Simms and Wright to start actually want.
I think there’s something in the club “psyche” (for want of a better word) that is against experimentation in general. The most divisive examples being players and formations but I think one thing that our management never seem to do is adapt the play style or players or formation depending on the opposition. We play our way with our strange formation and our set players but there’s never talk of “so and so have this system so we need to use x/y/z to combat it”, when comes to our setup we always seem to be reactive rather than proactive. I think the arguments for/against “dropping” Godden are sort of pointless, we should neither play him every game nor always keep him on the bench. Some games Godden should be used and some games he shouldn’t, it’s down to Robins and the team to work out which opposition Godden is best suited to.

Secondly, if Wright and Simms start tomorrow then I hope we don’t judge them positively or negatively off one game. I think the single biggest factor as to whether Wright and Simms do well or not is if they get service or not. Just from what we’ve seen so far it looks like they play in a completely different style to Godden, I personally think that they’re going to need longer range through balls to run onto rather than having it to feet and having a quick turn and shot like Godden does. If we play that way and give them both great service and they still don’t score then fair enough, blame the strikers, but if we’re not supplying them then I don’t think we can blame them entirely. People will see this as me already getting the excuses in for Simms and Wright but it’s genuinely a massive factor as to whether they do well or not, they both seem so different to Godden, if we play the way that we have done recently then I don’t know how well we’ll do. We’ve got to properly acknowledge that we need to play a different game if we want to do well with Simms and Wright.

One of the best games ever at HR
End to end football
Wallace's overhead kick
Jim Blyth's last minute penalty save
Give them an extra shout for me mate - had to miss Blackburn and this due to Cov-id; see you at Brizzle!

Looks OK tbf, interesting choice to change 2 of a back 3 that kept a clean sheet last game though.

My issue with that is Binks being dropped.

However i may be wrong, I of course cant be told outright what the 11 is, so it may be Latibeaudiere is rested and Kitching comes in for him with Binks still on the left and Thomas dropped

Midfield is too weak really. Hope we get away with it!
It's not an ideal midfield by a long stretch but I'm over moaning about that fuck up now. Individually those players are OK so let's hope they can put it together and get the result.

Yeah, not sure what Allen's role is but worry about him as defensive midfielder.
If he's playing more of a box to box role I have no issues with that with O'Hare in the side pressing from the front but with Ayari? Not sure that works.

Though options are very limited today the least.

It is, and you’d have to accept compromising at least somewhere. Just really you need Allen further up the pitch.

Atmosphere will be better tomorrow you would assume, with them bringing more, a Saturday 3pm KO and us off the back of 2 wins in a row

Will be shite.

The 'new' fans aren't arsed about making noise.

It won't. What new fans anyway? There will fewer people today than we had for Blues and Boro last season and both were rocking. The uplift over games like QPR last season which was immense is only a couple of thousand in reality. It's the same people in the ground, around me.in block 16 everyone has renewed. Games have been flat, exception was Watford and the atmosphere was decent. And even when we are a bit flat, it's never shite.

Surprised the club haven't warned fans about limited tickets. Apart from the retention of around 400 at the back of blocks 26 and 27 for POTG, there is nowt left. Can just imagine the meltdown if people turn up and can't get in 😂

From what i understand

Wilson
Tats. Lats. Fadz. Kitching. Dasilva
Allen. Eccles
Ayari
Simms. Wright
Honestly the ball would just keep coming back at us especially if Ayari was playing behind them. I know what you mean though. Maybe just once so they see how crazy it is.
Looks like MR might be going “crazy”. Let’s hope this one comes back to haunt you.

Wouldn't be dropped more rotated after 3 matches in a week. Godden would be similar reasons.

I don't think it is. Simms got his goals v QPR and looked good again on Wednesday and Wright got the winner. Godden has gone 3 without a goal and has played every minute so far, why not switch it up?
You know, seeing as we always get fucked over by Naaarrrwich I'd be almost tempted to play Wright and Simms together, if only to show once and for all what a stupidly fucked up idea it is.

Would seem very odd to drop Binks. Also think Allen would be much better further forward, but hey Robins knows more than we do.
